Is there any reason why I shouldn't use a sponsor's current mailer as a supplementary page to promote his site? This would be a static page on the site, and not part of an email programme.

Because there literally could be dozens, or even hundreds of others that may dot he same thing...can you say "duplicate content"? If the rest of the site is strong with lots of unique content it most likely will not hurt...

Agreed as above. What would be the purpose of such a page anyway? Wouldn't you already have a unique review of some sorts?

Thanks for the replies, and I realise that a site that relies on email pages is going to have a fairly low ranking. My primary concern was that sponsors would not like me doing it, as it could diminishe the effect of other affiliates mail campaigns. I'm anti-spam, and I thought that it might be a useful idea to target players who don't sign up for mailing lists. I'm primarily an investor in domain names, and it is always useful to be able to develop a site and put the name to a productive use, rather than giving it to a parking service for a minimal income.
