    I had childhood vaccinations.

I have never had any in adulthood - and done pretty well in avoiding illness.

None in 30 years ... until ... last November I picked up a "flu?" bug that gave me insomnia/ shivers / shakes / headaches for a couple of weeks. It was just after a trip to Queenstown in NZ, which was/is big with lots of Chinese tourists ...

So who knows I might have made contact with patient zero from Wuhan, and already had a dose of CoronaVirus ???

I always had the childhood vacinations. As a young person, flu shouldn't be necessary, our bodies should be strong enough to fight it in some days. I am not sure what the others are that you mention.

Is it advised to have some vaccinations when going to Manila for Sigma?

I did not get any vaccinations as an adult, until I got the flu 15 years ago. Hoping not to go through that again, I get the flu shot each year and I haven't gotten it again. But who knows for sure if its really the vaccination that is working.

    I've had childhood vaccinations.

Can't be bothered to go get a flu shot every year.

I've only had childhood vaccinations. Although I know a few people that get annual flu vaccinations, the vaccinations don't always work and often times they actually get sick after taking them. Go figure My secret recipe against any cold or flu is drinking several cups of cayenne pepper tea with at least 1 or 2 heaped teaspoons of cayenne pepper powder, and a very generous squirt of lemon squeeze. Stir and drink! It's very hard to drink, but it really helps me get over colds and flus much faster.

Actually, that is part of the reason why I often do not get the annual flu vaccine since I often feel worse for a time after then I would have likely felt if I had gotten the flu that year.

I have had a number of times where getting the vaccine did not help and I got the flu anyway, so I have rarely gotten the annual one the past 10 years or so.

I have had all my childhood ones apart from the TB one, which I missed out on in high school. The only adult one I have had is a Tetanus shot when I was bit by a dog about 7 years ago. I'm 37 now and have never had the flu, unless it was that mild I didn't know and thought it was a bad cold.

I've had childhood vaccinations, but never had one as an adult. I'm considering getting it in the future.
I've had a bad flu a couple of times, do maybe with the vaccine it would be better, or not?

I've had all my childhood shots, tetanus, whooping cough, diptheria, gardasil and I get a flu shot every year. I've never had the flu (not to be confused with a cold, which most people don't know the difference), even when my entire family has been bed ridden with it. So either I've had it with zero symptoms, my immune system is amazing, or my personal hygiene is immaculate LOL

Although I know a few people that get annual flu vaccinations, the vaccinations don't always work and often times they actually get sick after taking them.
There are many reasons why this can happen. Eg, it could be possible they already had the flu before they got the shot (or got it immediately after - there wasn't enough time for their body to build the antibodies before contracting it), or that they got sick with a different strain than what was immunised against. The flu shot does not contain an active virus.

I only ever received childhood vaccinations and couldn't be bothered with having anymore of them. I try to watch my personal hygiene and keep my distance from people who cough and sneeze without covering their mouths and noses. It's shocking to see so many people in public who don't carry facial tissues with them and they just suddenly decide to sneeze into the air instead. How disgusting and completely inconsiderate of those who are around them. It's annoying that I get sick every winter, no matter how hard I try to stay warm.

I hear you, but people don't intentionally eat the flu virus. A good healthy immune system will offset the severity and length of a flu infection but it won't stop you becoming infected and spreading it to other people.

edit: I had all my childhood vaccinations but not a flu-shot, however, when they develop one for Covid-19 I'll be one of the first inline.

Never had any, always healthy + prefer a healthy lifestyle.
You have an immune system for a reason and it is too complex in order to fully understand it.

I'm not getting annual flu vaccination, however I do believe that people that are at risk groups like old people, they should take it, I know I will after I reach 60
