Is the Vernons Brand Dead

NetPlay have now announced the Vernons casino bonus will be removed in the UK from 2nd May, following the removal of the sports bonus around a year ago.

Going by this, and the fact the site is largely dormant and hardly updated, it looks like the end of the road is near for Vernons.

Although sites and brands do come and go it is a shame that NetPlay are running the Vernons brand into the ground, I'm not sure what the motivation is. Anyone older than 30 in Britain recognises the name from the old football pools, it was an institution, and in an industry where brand recognition is half the battle (I'm assuming this is why they bought the Vernons brand to begin with) it surprises me.

Does anyone else still work with Vernons/NetPlay?

I did not receive anything about the bonus.
I no longer receive anything from them. I started removing the casinos on some of my sites.
I had a few players before, but I do not see anyone anymore.

I still get the odd sign up to Vernons, God knows why, along with a fairly loyal core account base. I hope it doesn't disappear.

I lightly link to Vernons, and NetPlay's other brands. They're a bit weird - I tried to contact them several times last year to arrange some promotions and they never replied to me. Then last month, out of nowhere, I earned a few hundred pounds and they paid without issue.

I haven't received anything from NetPlay re. Vernons closing. It's not a company I would put on my homepage right now.

They do not communicate with the affiliates. This is the problem.

Interesting to just read this. Received an e-mail that the welcome bonuses have been removed and to remove all reference from our site. There were no other bonuses available so it makes sense that this could be the end of Vernons.
