Default Have you achived the lifestyle you want

By being involved in gambling, be it as an affiliate, a gambler or whatever it is related to the industry?

I am talking relatively speaking of course, we all want that private jet, yacht and half naked women (or men for the ladies) but all things considered have you achieved the lifestyle, way of life etc that you desired, or is it just too much hard work?

Hey, I'm still a "potential" affiliate, reading the forums, learning the gotchas, etc . . .

I have almost two dozen domains that are not gambling-oriented (just straight affiliate marketing - products) but I'd like to start in this industry, also.

I think if I wasn't a US resident I would have done this years ago.

I've taken my life as far as it can go with this business. Live in the Caribbean, work as little as I want, travel as much as I want, never have to worry etc.

So in a way, but for the rest of my dreams I will have to look outside of the internet.

I achieved my idea lifestyle within last year , we have three homes , a boat and are debt free .The icing on the cake will be next year when my husband gives up his day job and will join the business with me .Considering we are only 42 I still have few years to enjoy it all . I have had more vacations in past 2 years than i have in previous 10 years and will be in 15 countries in past 12 months so yeah I definitely have my lifestyle now.Special thanks to my dozen or so revshare partners who made it all possible

I'm not raking it in like so many here, but I can say that I have a great life style. I love working on websites, and fellow webmasters. I spend a lot of time with my son, and my girlfriend. For my quality time with family is the most important thing. Everything else has just falled in to place.

Casinoranking.. that's awesome. You live in the Caribbean.. sounds like a fantasy.

casinobonusguy.. I now realize you are not a "guy". lol as in"casinobonusguy".. I'm happy for your success. You are extremely young for the level of success you have a achieved. cograts!

    Pretty much.

I live in one of the most livable places in the world (except for when it hits 46 degrees Celsius) close to the beach, have a good group of friends that like to party as much as I do, play music with my band as a hobby, and work in a pretty exciting industry, which allows me to travel occasionally.

The only downside is as an AM, I'm still office bound.

The only places I would prefer to live besides the Caribbean are Hawaii and Australia but taxes there are too high so the plan is to stay here until my income drops enough to move to one of those 2 places. Either way I plan on traveling there a lot.

Trust me being from Canada and living in -20 to -40 for 8 months a year the Caribbean is paradise. I hate how people who are born and raised in nice climates take it for granted and don't hit the beach when its right there.

In Canada a person spends most of their life running from building to building to stay warm and they are never outside. Here you can live outside.

I live in Malta a meditearean island and the weather is gorgeous though too hot on occasions, i previously lived in Norway with its -20/30 weather and believe it or not i would rather go back to Norway, but the family wants to stay on this little island, so what can one do hey.

Not everyone wants to leave the cold for the warmth for a whole variety of reasons, each to their own and i would swap Canada with Malta any day, loved the time i spent there and it was damn cold to boot.

I guess thats why everyone is different. I love Canada in the summer months dont get me wrong. The summers I would travel British Columbia and go on 10 to 20 km hikes almost every day. But the cold hurts and I hate being indoors. Being a nature lover for me warm weather makes more sense.

    Here here!

Aus is wonderful. I live 2 minutes from the closest beach and within 10 minutes of about 5 beaches.

Have I achieved the lifestyle I want? Not really. My idea of a perfect lifestyle would be not having to drive almost 2 hours to work every day and being able to travel around seeing everything I want to see without a care. I'd like to get myself sorted with a house in the next year and start setting myself up for the future with investments etc.

When I'm working from a beach on a deserted island ill be happy

    You think so?

I used to think that when i left the UK and i wont go back there but damn do i miss those little things that are classic English that i cannot buy outside the UK.

And you know what even though my family love it here and it is hot and it is a small island and the beach is just down the road and so on you know what comes with heat and beaches

Bloody flys, armies of the little sods

Then theres the cost of electricity because of those damn air conditioners that you have to keep on all the time.

Then the tourists on the roads clogging up the streets non stop

    The list is endless

Let me tell you living on a sun drenched island aint all that

And a deserted one would be even worse

Think about simple things like medical care, you wont get top surgeons if you need one on a deserted island and trust me every family will need that one time in their lives.

Power bills here are insane. How they generate power is they import diesel from the USA and then burn the diesel. It has to be the most inefficient thing I have ever heard of. I am careful with lights, almost never use air con and the bill is still high!

You'd think since islands like this have the most to lose with global warming they would be the first to embrace solar power.

I have to agree on some points.. there are some things I miss a lot when I go to another country, even if just for a week or two and I'm sure I'd miss them if I lived on a deserted island, but I reckon I could live without them.

Flies, I guess, are a sacrifice you make for great weather and relaxing.. living in Australia I'm used to the swarms of flies during summer anyway, so that wouldn't bother me.

No air con needed.. I'd be happy to live in 40 degree (celcius) heat every day. That's how I roll :P

Medical.. yeah I guess.. but if I have enough money to live on a deserted island, I would likely have enough money to fly myself back to the mainland if I need one of those, or fly one over...

I'm really not looking forward to winter

2 hour drive to work that is crazy.....

Costa Rica is good security is a bit mental, kind of a gun happy country, also some very very poor areas.

My nearest beach is about 2 hours away and is a great beach, and as it happens I am having a half day tomorrow to go to the beach.

Costa Rica is stunning. I love it there. While the Caribbean has the beaches... what it does not have is the stunning variety of wildlife and lush forests costa rica has. A great place to live no doubt about it.

Some parts of CR are great, the Caribbean side has taken a beating in the last 5 months some real bad floods, i live about 10 mins from San Jose, to be honest downtown is a dump i think i have been about 5 times in just over a year.

But still a lot better than the UK.....

Didn't know about the floods. Downtown San Jose is a dump I still remember running away from 5 hookers as they were trying to steal my wallet near the Del Rey Hotel.

But outside of the city it's a gem.
