Default DOJ reaches domain name agreement with PokerStars, Full Tilt

The Department of Justice just issued a press release stating that it has reached an agreement to restore the domain names of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. Absolute Poker has received a similar agreement, but hasn't agreed to it yet.

    From the APCW:

PREET BHARARA, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today that the United States entered into domain-name use agreements with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, two of three online poker companies named as defendants in an April 15 civil money laundering and forfeiture Complaint (the "Civil Complaint"), alleging bank fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and illegal gambling offenses. The Complaint, a related Indictment, and a related Restraining Order issued against multiple bank accounts utilized by the companies and their payment processors do not prohibit the companies from refunding players’ money. Nevertheless, this agreement will facilitate the return of money so that players can register their refund requests directly with Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker.

Kudos to the PPA for getting involved and providing an easy way for over 65,000 members to contact the US Gov't and demand that players funds be released.

Yes, so US Adults must ask permission from the US Govt to have access to their own funds, prostrating themsselves, and their financial information like supplicants before the crown.

It's an abomination. Something is wrong with this picture!

I don't think the DoJ is releasing any funds from the frozen accounts. Isn't it just a PR stunt, that essentially means that if PS & FT have other available funds they can use their domains to facilitate the refund of balances?

I think the DoJ fully intends to keep any money they have seized. It'd be a big reason this has happened. A republican politician already said publicly that the money seized more than compensates for the cost of the operation, and therefore makes it justified.

Obviously this is very important news, but as affiliates we need to know if and how we will get paid...I have income from both PS and FT that I need to get paid for and if we can't get paid into the player accounts, we need to know our options, the month ends in 9 days, I sure hope we get that sorted soon. If anyone gets word on this please post it.
