Voice Dictation Software?

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for voice dictation software? records your voice instead of typing?

Google has transcription app. Have you tried it?

if you google 'voice detection' you get completely different results other then 'text to speech'

Worked with "dragon natural speaking" some time ago...
Costs a few bucks, but very useful.

I use the Google text to speech all the time and it's amazing. That's on a phone though. Never used it on a computer.

On Chrome if you access your Drive and select Docs there is a setting for starting your computers online microphone and just start speaking.

Tested it last night and worked fairly well. An external microphone may help the process too.

We occasionally do interviews over the phone with someone, and later transcribe them to text. For that we use:

There are loads that do the job but google is as good as any and is free

On mac computer you can double click the fn button and dictation will appear. Fun fact I dictated this.

Yes, Temi is great for transcribing, I'mm using it too.

I use google text to speech all the time also. It's not perfect but it is free and it does the job.

Do you find it works well and do you have to keep background noise to zero? I'll have a look at it properly tomorrow
