If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

If you have a read around the forums here and at AGD you'll notice that there's a very negative view of quotas among affiliates.

Plus this is a bit of a weird one - based on revenue rather than RMPs (I have to admit, I haven't seen that before!).

I understand the issues affiliates have with quotas proposed by other affiliate programs. Our term is plain and simple...If an affiliate is unable to reach the threshold for the month, their earnings will be carried over to the next month. If total payment fails to meet the £250 in each of six consecutive months, we will not withhold payment, should we terminate the agreement and anything owed will be paid to the affiliate. Like most programs, these parameters have been put in place to protect the business.

I couldn't imagine closing an affiliate's account because of this reason and would rather work with the affiliate to help generate more income. As such, from the moment affiliates sign up to the program, I will be very hands on in ensuring we have a valuable and successful partnership.

If it's writing in the terms then it can and will be used against affiliates at any time.

If you have no intention of using the term then it wouldn't be there to start with.

Quotas are bad for ALL Affiliates...period.

Terminating the agreement...no matter how hard the affiliate worked to get to that point is taking players away from them...and with that risk looming over the small affiliate at all times, they are better to just send the potential players where the traffic from the samll affiliates are appeciated and the terms do not pose the same risk.
