Default What do our customers say?

Has anybody ever thought to ask our customers what attracts them to a particular site. I hear of content, links, you tube videos , How to's, "microgaming" "fijiminglewizzbang". Does a gambler, who is not a geek, really care about the "technology". I use to go to Keenland and watch the ponies run and I really wasn't concerned about what kind of truck hauled the horse to the track.

What really attracts our customers to our sites??

Before you critisize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way when you do critisize him your a mile away and you have his shoes.

Hey JC, I've had the idea that affiliate sites should give an example of what the casino is like and what the site has to offer. My idea of a perfect affiliate site is one that shows a cross section of comparable sites in the niche I am interested in. The tools like videos, images, and your horse trailer are all jsut to project a richer quality of information to the potential player.

If you do this you will make more revenue from each player becuase they will most likely try many different casinos found on your site. I remember reading somewhere that the average online casino player is registered at a few different sites simultaneously.

The biggest trouble I think is actually getting a response from your players. Often casino players are not interested in actually talking to the face behind the site.. so it's hard to get that feedback.

I'd say the best way to overcome this is to ensure your site has a newsletter option - that way in one of your newsletters you could at least offer a short survey asking the person what attracted them to your site etc..

Personally, if I was to remove my "geek" I think the thing that would attract me to a website would be the whistles and bells.. Most people love to explore stuff they are not totally privy to.

Look at the ipad for example. People wanted one just because it was new technology and it was fun.. Just because they don't know how to use it, or aren't geeky, doesn't mean they wont try

    Default Interesting topic...

I always wonder about what casino customers want. But I think it depends on the type of casino customer you are talking about. Within the "geeks" and the "standard players" are those who want to spend a lot of money and have the time to shop about and those who want information quickly.

I suppose i'm not so naive - at least I hope not since I work in the industry
But IMO, the bright sites with all the gadgets would interest me if I have the time to look through the information. Otherwise, I'd want something straight to the point.

As Renee and Adrian have said, getting feedback is difficult, and it seems to me that the old method of trial and error may be an affiliates best friend.

    Default Trial and error?

I don't totally disagree but I think there has to be a better way than trial and error. The first fifty guys that invented cyanide aren't here, the fifty first said "here honey, try this and tell me how it tastes" He may be single now but he got the job done.

There are an estimated 21 million people online 24/7 anytime of the day or night gambling. I need 100 of them. Sounds simple but it really isn't. There has to be demographics somewhere, and not just keywords and search engine stats.

Food for thought. Your husband isn't a chemist is he?
