What to do with unused, useless content?

I've just been clearing out my content folder seeing what I hadn't used yet and I noticed that I have a bunch of unused reviews for programs that have either closed or had their affiliate programs closed before I got around to adding them (eg: I have reviews for bluesq and piggs peak).

So... what do the rest of you do with this kind of stuff? Bin it? Use it to pad out a site even though it's useless? Bung them all together on a blog and use it for links?

I usually rewrite them for other places.

Often during writing I will say things in a unique way, so when I dump a page or (like you did) run accross an unused review that is no longer pertinent, I will rewrite it and take advantage of some of the uniqueness on a different property.

I list them for sale to clear out whatever I can (one man's trash is another man's treasure). Whatever is left over, I try to find some use for in some way.

Stripping them for parts is interesting. Not a bad idea, although I think a large portion of the reviews talk about the promotions on offer as well as the history/ownership of the brand so I'm not sure how much could be salvaged.

I also didn't think about selling them - I guess someone might want them to seed a blog or something?

To be honest, I'm not sure why other people would want them. I do know that on a few different occasions, I found myself sitting on outdated, old content and we listed it for sale - pricing it according to quality and "present time" relevance. End result on all occasions was that my content folder was cleaned out and I had money from the content I deemed useless for my future plans. This tactic was much easier than trying to figure out how I was going to use the content I no longer had use for.

The best option is to rewrite them but if you are lacking time then you can try to sale them on freelancer website. but to make sure you may not use to post that blogs on your official site as it may cause a bad impact on your market reputation.

I think it's still worth posting content for casinos etc that have closed down.
Some people may still search for the brands and not be aware that they are closed, once they land on your page you can put an alert at the top saying 'xxx has closed, why not try xxxx'

Rewrite them for other places that most practical, or write about how this casinos are closed or something like that i news etc.
