Default What feature do you use most on GWPA?

I’m putting together a profile page for GWPA on OCR (here: http://www.onlinecasinoreports.com/d...organizations/)

I’d like to mention this forum as part of the profile, so I wondered if I could get some feedback from you guys as to what GWPA feature you appreciate or use most. I’d really like to use your comments as user testimonials on the profile page.

If any other site owners here on the forum would like to be featured under the OCR industry listings, here: http://www.onlinecasinoreports.com/industry/ you’re welcome to get in touch with us via the OCR site http://www.onlinecasinoreports.com/contact-us.php.

Thanks in advance - I'd be very grateful for your comments!!

I mainly just use the forum - it's easily the most informative iGaming forum around. Plus everyone is happy to help each other out

Thanks baldidiot (I feel a bit uncomfortable calling you that! ). I have to say it's the same for me really, mostly just the forum. And yes the readiness of everyone to give advice and share knowledge is certainly a plus.

Ha ha, I think it's ok - seeing as I call myself that

In fact the first person to call me it (it was in a live poker game) made me laugh so much I started using it as an alias.

Well, it's a fair question because the main focus of the site is obviously the forum And a good thing too. However, there are other features as well. The GWPA Times newsletter, which contains a lot of industry news, is one. I guess the affiliate programme directory could also be useful to some.

    Thanks for your response!

I mainly use the Forum, although when I first joined I diligently went through all the sections

I've used Pictures & Albums once which I believe is a good tool which we should all use more. Also I regularly check the GPWA Times and News Sections.

    Hope this helps.

Just the forum for me. Didn't really realize there were other "features".

I figure it makes sense to chime in here with a list of some of the "features" provided by the GPWA to facilitate folks commenting on them:

    1. The GPWA Forums
    2. The GPWA Times Newsletter - emailed every week
    3. The GPWA Times Magazine - published and mailed quarterly.
    4. News section with current affiliate news.
    5. Directory of iGaming trade shows.
    6. The GPWA Approved Portal Seal - Just over 2,000 portal sites have a seal now.
    7. The GPWA Affiliate Program Directory - gathers recent posts, tweets, news, brands represented with links to their details, AGD ratings and other information about programs in one place.
    8. The GPWA Sponsor Gaming Site Directory - allows searching for sites based on various criteria such as where players are accepted from and methods used to pay affiliates.
    9. The GPWA Portal Directory - lists over 5,000 GPWA member portals including market niche and associated webmaster to help webmasters connect with one another.
    10. The GPWA Member Directory - Cross-reference listing of members and their websites.

Yeah, I do use the list of upcoming conferences. Got it bookmarked and check it regularly.

Hi everyone thank you very much for all your comments. These will definitely be useful - especially the list of features, Michael, thanks. I notice that you put the word "features" in inverted commas in your post. Is there another word you prefer - "services" perhaps?

    A great weekend to all.

Damn, some days I tend to use the ban/delete/edit/move thread buttons more than I have a chance to use the reply to or post new thread buttons....

Although I have used the submit post button a couple of times over the years.....

    Thanks for that Rick.

Just realised I typed GPWA incorrectly above. Everyone here is so polite! I've been on other forums where I'd get annihilated for that within seconds! Maybe I'll mention that in the review...

Ah the GWPA - Gambling Webmaster's Portal Association, where all our websites hang out and talk about us when we aren't looking.

To the question in the OP, I mainly use the Forum, but also read the magazine and find that very informative. I skim the email newsletter and read/click through on items of interest. Looking at the rest of Michael's list I know of all of those and have at least looked at them but not regularly.

Forum would get 99% of my time here.
I receive and read the magazine periodically too - it's interesting.

Mainly the forums, as there's a lot to read, and it's fun to participate in various kinds of discussion from funny and goofy ones, to pure business talk. I am subscribed to the newsletter, so I don't miss on important events and stuff.

And it's very easy to get in touch with AM through here. I am also using the GPWA Approved Portal Seal.

It was at a cash game - I remember he had around 5x the max buy in on the table and was seriously on tilt, bleeding chips all over the place. I had a enough on the table (maybe 3x the buy in.. it was a few years ago) that I started calling with ridiculous draws whenever they were cheap so that I could get a shot at his stack.

I can't remember the hand exactly but it was along the lines of him slow playing pocket aces, hitting trips on the flop and then making it cheap enough for me to back into a straight. He bet, I pushed, he called thinking he had the nuts. Then threw a fit that I was still in the hand.
