I don't think it is the domain age.

You are targeting a pretty saturated niche. You should offer something unique to stand out from the crowd.

You homepage could be better organized. When I first opened your homepage I did not realize where I am and what is the purpose of it?!?!
You should make it more human appealing and not Google bot appealing.

You say you have 17k links to your site. You know that it is quality that matters not quantity.
    Do you have diversity?
How many of the links are high PR links?
How many are from a similar niche?
How many are Web 2.0 or Social Media links?
These are the ones that seem to have the higher value at the moment.

I guess you have Google Analytics on your site? And also you have a very high bounce rate because visiting your homepage does not get a visitor to stay longer at your site.

When you have Google Analytics, Google takes that in mind when it rank your in SERP, because it can properly measure bounce rate. Either improve your bounce rate or remove Google Analytics temporarily and see if there is any improvement.

    To sum it up:
    1. Make your site more human targeted and not Google targeted.
    2. Include more pictures/videos to make a visitor stay longer on the webpage and this way increase your bounce rate.
    3. Maybe? remove Google Analytics temporarily and install an on server alternative like Piwik and compare results.
    4. Consider adding Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Disclaimer, Contact form. These are things that Google considers an authority site should have. This is also going to gain trust from visitors which is good.

    Please don't offend yourself.

I just shared my opinion on the site. Too me it looks like too much search engine focused. If you are not willing to change anything onpage the only thing you can do is get high PR backlinks or even some .edu or .gov . You will easily find such services on other webmaster forums.

Your bounce rate will be good because people are spending longer on the site trying to find the slot reviews.

Your site needs reorganising in where the content is displayed, as you have to go to the bottom of the page to find your slot reviews and have to navigate past signup options and casino reviews to get to them. Whats the point of ranking for phrases like "slots online", if visitors cant find the slot reviews?

Also, how many slot reviews do you have on the site - I could only see 10, and no other way of reading other slot reviews after I had read one. More images would break up the page, but in the main, just rearrange the content so that people visiting your site see what they were searching for at the top.

lol you can select casino reviews from the front page, if you want to have more details you need to navigate the top menu.
Well i saw many websites here on forum and many get me confused ... so in my way i think this it s easy to navigate

    Funny...

You are asking for advice and suggestions but don't take any of them. What do you actually want then?

when asking for advice does not mean i should trust you or try your things, when i asked that means i want to see your opinion and others too, but this does not mean that i`m not listening, plus that site is far too big on the front page u see the latest posts, and what i want is to push the ppl reviews my friend, so there every time you make a comment in the slots area it is coming to the front page , i simply said i will not add banners, and thanks for that info about the navigation thru my site ... well i know and i`m working on that, , and for you (theboyMitchell) don`t act like a pro, i looked over your poker site http://www.pokersaurus.co.uk/ and i was not happy when i reached there . I m same as you and maybe with more knowledge and i think i have more knowledge than you, i run over 30 portals online and working to all in the same time and i`ve learned a lot doing seo, building sites ... my question was : how to improve, why do i stack , it`s maybe because my site has only 1 year ... this were my questions, and i wanted your opinion. hope you don`t mind theboyMitchell but i appreciate comments no matter what, but when comments about your site is unfriendly coming from your side with that design well i would think twice when posting ...

Only backlinks just not sufficient, Search engine also give priority to strong onpage changes, and usefriendly sites.
You should do some change in top navigation, and improvement in internal linking.

    +1

I'd say that at the moment Google gives much more value to good On Page user-friendly navigation and content than to high amount of backlinks to the site.

You are free to take or not take any advice given here but be sure that we are only suggesting things that are going to improve it not worsen it.

I agree with what's been said here - navigation is not the best and I found the dark background hard to use.

You have lots of 'votes' for your slots etc - are they all real?!

I know it is hard to take advice after working so hard. But the transparent "Thing" with yellow letters over the dark is not good for reading. It is distracting. I am not one to talk because I too have white over dark. But at least it is not yellow/transparent over dark. It takes time... like a good wine or herb, to get into what is happening in web mastering. You just need a few more years at it and you will do fine. So keep at it. Never say stop. Enjoying your work I found helps a LOT. So practice at that first to get into the groove.

I agree, the dark background and yellow letters look exhausting.
