Question What percentage of your visitors used mobile devices in the past 28 days?

Google analytics lets you look at the device category of your visitors. The information is visible under: User > User attributes > Tech > Tech details in the Analytics left navigation menu.

For all active users, Google Analytics reports the following percentages for the GPWA.org website for the last 28 days (well, Google Analytics gives user counts, and I used those to calculate the percentages):

    100.0% Total
    73.32% Mobile
    26.12% Desktop
    00.38% Tablet
    00.01% Smart TV

Looking calendar year 2024, the percentages were as follows for the GPWA website:

    100.0% Total
    51.62% Desktop
    47.39% Mobile
    00.52% Tablet
    00.01% Smart TV

So, even for a website like the GPWA, traffic is now nearly 75% mobile, versus under 50% mobile in 2024.

I've watched the mobile numbers grow over the years, but the mobile growth of a business website primarily targeted to folks that almost certainly have desktop/laptop devices like GPWA members, surprised me.

With that background information, for this week's poll I ask what percentage of users visiting your main site in the last 28 days are using mobile devices. Besides voting in the poll, I invite you to share percentages by device type, and also to share how the figures have changed versus those for calendar year 2024.

    Last 28 days: 68.7%
    2024: 66.9%

Marginally more in the past 28 days but that could be just natural variance. Interestingly the engagement time is far higher on desktop for us, skewed by use on our stats pages which although mobile friendly are still easier to consume on a bigger screen.

I saw looking at this earlier so thought I’d share 2025 to date as it has changed fairly considerably:

    Mobile: 77.18%
    Desktop: 19.88%
    Tablet: 2.1%

So for me an increase in mobile visits by more than 10% since 2024.

I've been at over 80% for years and don't see the trend ending. Almost everyone uses their phone or tablet for iGaming.

Without demographics you could ask if my traffic prefers Ketchup or BBQ sauce on there Fishnuggets?!
For example i would guess that the golf betting guy serves by default the more "aged" sentiment with that niche ... who prefers computers instead cellphone just because of UX and eyesight.

    For me its about
    US is around 70%
The Asians - here Thai, MY, ID close to 99%

Haha, you’ve given me an idea for my elderly audience - GBS branded magnifying glasses and maybe even branded eyeglass frames. When the affiliate income finally dries up completely perhaps that will keep me going!

    Very interesting numbers.

Since StatsDrone is a CRM data aggregator that provides all stats across programs it is not as high but we are seeing more users accessing their dashboards and checking in on programs using their mobile phones.

Anything data-intensive I still find easier to use a laptop rather than a mobile, so it makes sense that even mobile optimised sites that have a lot of numbers/reports are lower mobile usage. Also follows I guess if users are downloading the reports or copying the numbers into spreadsheets.
