Default What's the deal on these guys.

What's the word on "Casino on Net"?

I see them everywhere. Really didn't pay much attention. Now they've contacted me and asked me to promote them.

I thought Hmmmmm..... interesting. Started looking around.

Reading this board, I've seen a couple of "less than favorable" comments about them.

Okay... a couple of you pro's... the ones the have been around awhile. What gives? Are they worth adding to my lineup? Is it normal for a casino to solicit a portal by direct email?

Not to worry... I'm just curious if they're desperate or if this is standard operating procedure for them.

    Comments?

Mamma always said, if you can't say something nice about someone, say nothing.

    My comment on CON: NOTHING

I personally , did not like them. They were paying me $150 per player, but I never seemed to convert any players. I still promote them, But I don't give them the best space.

Considering they are whored on every street corner of the net I cant imagine anyone making money with them. They also have a very small games package. If you like Casino On Nets interface you should affiliate with Playtech. They are a Casino On Net knockoff. here are some of the Playtech sites.
    http://www.clubdice.com
    http://www.swisscasino.com
    http://www.newyorkcasino.com
    http://www.usacasino.com

there are others as well and some pretty big players have switched to their software. Youll find they have more games to offer your visitors than CON and I think the stats interface is one of the best out there.
********** THIS HAS NOT BEEN A ADVERTISEMENT FOR PLAYTECH***************

Thanks DVS... I figured as much.

Actually, I wasn't "looking to add" them, they contacted me. That got me wondering.
Then, they offered the $150 per player routine. I told them no, I would only consider per-click or % of profits (just to see what they would say).

Now they tell me they "think" they can give me the % of profits, but won't know for sure until Monday.

Whatever, I told them I would wait to hear from them.

I'll look at some of those other sites to see what they're like.

While we're here, any comments on a minimum or maximum # of casinos to promote for best results?
What kind of track record is there.
I figure this: too few, and returning visitors would lose interest due to lack of content..... or too many, and you give visitors too many choices so they choose "none of the above".

What comments on this topic? What's a good range. I have about 35 now.

    Default CON

I have worked with Casino On Net for several years and up until about seven months ago they were one of my better producers. I had regularly earned 10K plus per month with them then all of a sudden a mysterious lucky player showed up in October.

This casino superman proceeded to make my commission balance go negative for three straight months often by thousands of dollars! I went from 10k plus with hundreds of real players to negative 5k and stayed there. I spoke to my rep and asked how this was possible. In a land based casino you cannot consistently win over a three month period and not get bounced so I was quite concerned. The loss of income was not good either and caused cash flow difficulties for awhile until I adjusted my ad budgets.

Well the solution CON came up with was to switch me to CPA so that the super player wouldn't wipe me out every month. At the time I figured it was better then what was happening and I would go back to Net Win in a few months after that player was banished. What I didnt realize was in going CPA I had surrendered all the hundreds of players I had worked so hard to sign up. I wasn't told this and I would have tried to weather the storm had I known.

When I went CPA for the first few months I was happy as I was making several thousand dollars a month again rather then seeing a negative balance. The only problem was the conversion rates of download to real players were astronomical. For instance out of 400+ DOWNLOADS this month CON credits me with only 3 real players! So under the CPA deal I am getting shaved to the bone.

I asked to go back to Net Win and was told I could but I would have to get new account numbers. This would mean that all my past players were lost and I was essentially starting out as a new webmaster with them.

I dont know what all this means, but I wanted to share my experiences with them. They have the potential of being a very good partner if they want to, but always be careful when negotiating.

    Wow....

Great note.... but tragic story. Geeeez.... I just got another note from them offering 40% of profits... but I guess I'll just ignore 'em for now.
Not worth the trouble and plenty of other good casinos out there.

Sounds like you got the shaft and they kept the gold. Bummer.

    Hi all,

Well I actually received an email from these guys last week
wanting to know about our Advertising. After going over the
email I rang them & was then informed that they did not
actually want advertsing, but they want to do a CPA
( Click Per Action ) with us starting at $150 per player.

What a joke anyway here is the email I received. Names have
    been X'ed out.

    Regards

    glodge

Wow, that's a pretty raw deal, Professor, for someone who has had a good & productive relationship with them for so many years; and it tells me exactly where their business values and ethics are. In the gutter. :fire:

I'm surprised you're laying down for that, and still promoting them. No business in the world exists without its sales force; and we're the sales force for online casinos. I won't do business with any casino that doesn't realize portal webmasters are a valuable asset to their business, and treat us accordingly.

I've read so much garbage about this place and their attitude, they couldn't pay me enough to put them on my site.

    Hi Slycin,
Yeah, I am not too happy about the way things have gone lately with CON. I left them up at my sites because for years they DID produce a lot of revenues and I didn't want to feel like I "abandoned" them after a few off months.

It's been my experience that generally once a sponsor drops like this you never really get back to the previous levels you had, but I figure lets give them a few months and see what happens.

I think they've abandoned you. But I'm a hard-liner when it comes to this stuff. This is your income and your business. Good luck!

    Default CON & Playtech

I have played CON for a long time. I played blackjack there and every month for some time I fed and treated my two Great Danes with the proceeds, regular as clockwork. I only play recreationally and never play for much money, but I can certainly see how I could have made a lot of money had I invested any. As is, I played the same 100 Bucks off and on for a year, pulling out between 50 and 100 a month. Sometimes I played the blackjack profits in slots and lost them. Still, a disciplined blackjack player can continue to win there.
The way they tricked the professor out of his players is shameless. I am very sorry to hear it.
They have carried name recognition advertising to the hilt, and I think it's easy to get people to click for that reason, but they don't convert. I have lots of downloads at CON, and no conversions at all.
Playtech is nice software. Smooth, excellent blackjack game. I had some money sitting at USA after their previous "software update" and couldn't access it. It freed up after the playtech update and I have enjoyed it. Their slots are soso, but the other games are very nice. I have never heard any evaluations of their affiliate programs. Does anyone have any experiences?

They convert but not on par with some of the microgamers out there. Watch the terms and conditions too. You may have to make a minimum of $500 to get a check...... :shake:

My site is dedicated to Video Poker, so now that they've released the new games, my biz is starting to move with them.

Yeppir!! The first casino from Casino Coins I've been able to promote in a while. :-?

I added it Saturday afternoon, and caught 17 downloads in the next 24 hours. Only converted 4 as of this morning, tho. The play is slow, for me, but it does playback well. Congrats on the win!!
