Default What's the domain Jackpot.me worth? and an affiliate account?

Is the the domain Jackpot.me worth anything?

Also, what's the going rate for an affiliate account, UK/EU facing (with appropriate licences) earning £5K month on 30% rev share... is it 5X Monthly rev, 8X or 10X. Anyone any idea?

Btw these two questions aren't connected

It would depend on current earnings , how long the account has been active, how long the current revenue has been at that level
Also the site associated with the account would need to be included in sale other wise it's pointless

Why should this domain contains any value more the the registration fee? I see no reason, even the reg fee looks like a bad deal to me.

OK so far looks like Jackpot.me not worth anything.

Affiliate Accounts are worth roughly 8X avg monthly rev.

I wouldn't say the domain is worthless.. I may be interested but probably nowhere near the figure you are thinking

Also the account would need to come with the site the commission has been generated from and the revenue must have been consistent for at least 6 months before anyone would make an offer IMO

How long has the aff account been making 5k per month for ?

Yeh it could vary wildly what your affiliate accounts are worth. All depends on the number of signups, active players, how long it's generated that revenue.

For example, most 'proper' affiliates with a fully functioning business, would not sell up for 8-10 months revenue. It would be ludicrous to think that. More like 2-4 years worth of revenue.

No one would pay 4 years worth of revenue....
Even brick and mortar businesses don't sell for that...

For small sites or less established account bases, then I would agree with you. But the commercial affiliates have been buying up the larger sites for silly multiples recently.

Eg: Catena just bought betting pro and associated assets for £13.9m. The press release states a turnover of €4.8m (£4.3m) and a profit of €2.16m (£1.9) per year. So they paid just over 3x annual turnover or ~7x annual profit.

    httpx://www.catenamedia.com/news/catena-media-acquires-award-winning-sports-affiliate-bettingpro-com/

Another example is slotsia, estimated annual income of €1.2m with a profit of €0.9m and they paid €3.575m (with additional performance related payments that could send that figure to €5m). Ignoring the earn out, you're talking roughly 3x turnover or ~4x profit.

    httpx://www.catenamedia.com/news/catena-media-acquires-casino-affiliate-newcomer-year-slotsia-com/

    The list goes on...

These obviously include the sites so not just the aff accounts, but it's multiples that we've not really seen before in the industry.

Well for those numbers then yes agreed
but small sites eg 5k per month rev large multiples over 10x aren't really going to be achieved

    A little harsh progger lol
All domains have value to the person who bought them and any person who is interested in buying them from the owner.
Obviously the value isn't inherent however if someone else wants it then obviously the domain is worth what the prospective buyer wants to pay for it.
Although all in all you are right I wouldn't have reg'd it myself

The worth of a domain is what the highest bidder is wanting to give for it. I wouldn't even registrate this domain. I guess you will get maybe 50 euro for it. Or it must be that somebody has concrete plans and absolutely need this domain...

The affiliate account depends. It's a big difference if an account is making for 3 years 3k a month with some active players or made last month 3k after some quiet months thanks to one player... If 30% is a good deal, it increases the value a bit, because you can promote then with this link and this deal.

I don't think it's realistic to compare that Catena buys with websites making a few k. Websites making a few k basically have no value for companies like Catena. If a website makes 3k a month, they'll lose on it if they have to put in total a FTE to run the website. Also the worth is not just in the accounts, but also in the brands and rankings.

Jackpot.me is worthless to a domainer. If you try to market it as an asset. Domainers only love .com, and every now and then they steer towards some exciting new TLD such as .io. But generally these are .com people.

However, .me is a global TLD and can rank on Google worldwide or it can have a specific country target. So for all practical purposes (as far as Google rankings are concerned) it's the same as the $500.000 Jackpot.com.

Except that you won't find anyone willing to pay even a fraction of that price for a .me.

It's good if you want to develop a website on it yourself and make the Jackpot.me name a brand. But you won't find anyone who'd buy the domain.

Based on history of similar domains the domain could be worth $200 to $2000 or really whatever anybody would pay for it. As mentioned above the problem with the domain name is the .me that will have difficulty. Obviously don't check the free evaluation websites, you will be very disappointed.

I've sold similar, not quite as good, .me domains for the $400-$600 range on Sedo. I'd suspect you may get the upper range on this for the domain if you can get it into one of their premium auctions (which isn't generally difficult).
