Everleaf Gaming Network exits U.S. market

The Everleaf Gaming Network, one of the few poker networks that still accepted U.S. real-money play after Black Friday, has prohibited all residents in the United States from using its services.

This decision was made after Everleaf received cease and desist order from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Everleaf also will no longer accept play from France or Malta.

In a post at TwoPlusTwo on Thursday, a representative from Minted Poker revealed that the network faces legal action if it continues to facilitate its services in the U.S. Minted Poker is one of more than 100 skins on the Everleaf Poker Network.

"The network owners have today sought legal advice and also met with the LGA, the Maltese Licensing Authority, who have advised them that due to the nature of the threat and the current climate, the network needs to withdraw its services from U.S. customers," said the representative. "I really understand how this will worry our players especially those in the U.S., but I also wish to reinforce that all monies held by all poker players, U.S. and rest of world, are secure and ring fenced."

Another one bites the dust.... Everleaf may have 100+ skins but they are still 7 years behind in software design and game play. Don't think many US players will miss them much.

Dear Players:

My apologies for the delay in getting this letter out, but I have been dealing with a fluid situation that has been changing by the minute since Thursday.

There is a lot of speculation and rumor swirling around about what has happened, and hopefully I can address some of the questions.

Here are the facts:

The Everleaf network, home to Luvin Poker, has opted to suspend operations to real money players in the United States.

The DOJ did not come after us and no funds were seized.

All funds are safe at Everleaf until they turn them over to the Lotteries and Gaming Authorities in Malta to be distributed to the players or an intermediary.

Luvin Poker remains open and safe to our overseas friends and thankfully we are working as I type on opening Luvin Poker back up to the U.S. for play money games and tournaments.
