What's with google PR?

Hi,

Well a few days ago I sighed relief when my site was finally showing PR3. Now I visit the site today and it's back to a PR0, I go back a 1/2 hour later it's back to a PR3, now its zeroed our again. Any ideas as to what's going on?

It's been doing this for a few months already. I think there are a number of datacenters and you're getting results from different ones at different times.

The last few months have been rollbacks, but now it's updating to new PR and you should see it settle soon.

Chill thanks for the info. That explains why my why my site is now a PR2 and my links (one directory down) is a PR3. A bit too strange for my liking as I've never seen a recip link page with a higher PR than the index page, go figure huh!

What he said about the datacenters is probably correct. If it showed a PR3 before I would say thats what it will probably set at..it may go up and down for a week or two though while all the PR updates go through the DC's
