What's with The Lord of The Rings online slot game?

Hello

I was wondering if there is The Lord of The Rings themed slot game to play online, so I looked for it on Google and actually found it on a couple of affiliate sites, with full reviews (features, characters etc.)

But the thing that confused me is that wherever I found it for the free play, it didn't work - it was not available.

Seems that there is a slot machine in land-based casinos, but also an online version. Somewhere it says it's IGT slot, somewhere WMS, somewhere even Microgaming's.

Hey Jelena, I'm pretty sure that it got pulled after Tolkien's estate pitched a fit about the brand being associated with gambling. I'm not 1000% sure, but I seem to remember that being the case a few years ago.

Microgaming had a LOTR slot. I believe the license for using the name ran out or something a couple of years back.

TL;DR: Warner Bros didn't have the digital rights to license the game to Microgaming in the first place.

The stuff about MGS is correct. If anyone still has a review up about it for MGS they are just late to remove it. It has been gone a few years now.

All online gaming formats were pulled back in 2012, I did see 1 or 2 machines in Vegas in 2014, but these themed slot machines are like fashion.
