Default Whats the process, when i sell website?

Hi, i want to ask, if i sell one of my website, for example, whats the process, i must do, before to give site to other person,ok.?
    - Whats happened with links, for example hundred or thousand of links of affiliate programes in all of the site? Must i remove it one by one. The new owner also may want to advertise, the same affiliates,ok.
    - Must i contact every affiliate company, that i work with and tell, that i'm not the owner any more?
    - Must i remove all links from my affiiate panel for each affiliate programe?

    Thanks

It is up to the new owner to change or remove the links, you most likely want to let them take over the site as is, it will preserve rankings the best in the short term, and once the new owner takes it over, you may see some traffic from your links until the new owner has the opportunity to change the affiliate tags on links he/she will preserve.

In most cases you should not have to contact all the affiliate programs, but it doesn't hurt to contact the ones you work with the closest, especially if the site you sold generated a lot of traffic for that specific program.

You may want to remove or change the links in the affiliate panel on some programs, but I would personally let them stand for a long time so you can monitor old players you signed up with those links as well as any possible future sign ups or depositors from previous traffic already sent etc.

The exception to the above would be if any program you work with is extremely critical of what sites you own etc etc etc, but in my opinion if this caused problems I would take a closer look at said program.

Another exception to the above would be if you had contracted with anyone for certain exposure on certain websites,at which time you could possibly be responsible for refunds for such contracted traffic/exposure depending on the type of deal you had. If this was the case you should have had that figured in tot he selling price or contracted for exposure to remain in effect for a certain period of time. (In this particular case you certainly should notify programs of the change etc, depending on the contract)

    Hi, Thanks for replay.

I want to ask, when you sell or buy site, how make it secure for both sides?

For larger transactions, you should use an escrow service and split the fees.

For smaller transactions or if the buyer has a good reputation, you might agree to get 50% upfront, then transfer the domain and send a .zip with all the files/SQL DB, and then get the remaining 50% directly after you have sent the files.
