From where your traffic comes?

Hi members

This days after watching google analytics stats i notice that near after 3 months i reach 40 - 50 visitors daily but sure this is not my goal and this is not the goal of everyone here,
Anybody loves to see 1000 or 10.000 visitors daily but i know that this is not easy

What you do to increase your website traffic, what is the best simple way ( if there is )

I read about some paid services but i dont have that much money and i feel is not that much needed that.

So do you have any suggestion or comment?

Honestly: why would anyone answer? Everyone successful paid with his time, money and disasters to gain the traffic. The more successful the person is, the less will share valuable info.

I get 300 unique's from Twitter and Facebook daily! Simple as that! Try to conquer social media as much as you can and there will be results!

Thank you, actually i post daily on facebook but is so hard to receive LIKES, maybe i must find ways on how to gain facebook likes and gain traffic from there.

I have to agree. Not to mention that 'targeted' traffic is one thing, seeing big numbers is another. Ask any guy with a live score site or live odds and they'd show you figures by the million, yet conversion almost non-existent.

What you are really asking is, how to be successful, and I really doubt anyone would give you a specific answer. However, my pointer would be, keep producing quality material, keep eager to learn and tryout new things on your website/s and if you are around in a few years, the knowledge you'd have gathered will have the answer for you.

Exactly. The most important for me is to merge things. One can learn a lot about indusrty if he is successfull bettor for example. One can learn a lot from webmasters that are out of gambling. You can learn a lot about people and why they gamble by psychoanalysis. Etc. It is all about fusion, that is my experience. Nowaydays everyone think that somewhere is some tutorial, how to make money. Yes, there are many and no one works, because someone is making money with those tutorials and the people who read/buy them are the consumers who buy illusion they are the entrepreneurs. Everyone has to be careful to be a fisherman and not the fish. There are only few winners and many losers.

Our traffic is three-pronged at about 33% each :
- direct (either type-in or bookmark)
- referral from other sites
- search engine

Direct is the most valuable - these people have specifically decided to visit your site.
Referral is also good - people have clicked through to see what you have to offer.
Search Engine traffic is variable. It might be good, it might be bad, it's probably more casual than most.

Most affiliates spend their life trying to "game" search engine positions to chase the worst quality traffic.

You are far better to build good content and gain genuine links from other sites and have people bookmark or favourite your site.
Direct and referral traffic is far more constant - and these people have already shown and interest in your product.

Well said Gooner, and similar to where the traffic from my sites come from...except not near the numbers Gooner's sites do....lol

And as far as who would answer the question....simple.

Those who are here to share ideas and help one another in an ethical manner would not mind, those who are here only to "take what they can get" likely are not.

In fact, the fact the GPWA even exists at all is based upon the method of competetors all coming together to share ideas, tips, strategies etc in one place, and do so in a comfortable atmosphere.

I will agree with xecutable. Dont focus on your daily visitor numbers but on the targeted traffic. Quality content and patience will pay off in the longterm and bring you quality traffic. As Gooner said he gets a lot of direct traffic which he considers valuable and which he has built over time

What is your conversion ratio for those 50 visitors per day? Have you set up a goal in analytics to measure how many people click through a specific link? Have you then tried different approaches to try to increase this ratio?

Have you set up a mailing list? How many sign ups a day? A twitter account? How many follows a week? However you choose it- select a method of measuring so that you can monitor where things are going right for you.

Increasing traffic is likely not your immediate answer. If you have 50 visitors per day it's enough to start measuring what works and beginning to laser in on your target. If you start converting more traffic you are doing something right and hence more traffic will follow from referrals etc.

Focus on improving 10% every week. Be 10% more productive with what you have learnt last week. If you have 100 total clicks to affiliate programs last month try and work out how you can make it 110 this month. 10 mail sign ups last week? Can you make it 11 this week by moving your sign up form higher up the page? If you could grow your mailing list by 10% every month in a years time you would go from 40 to 125 per month.

Then begin to analyse where you are sending traffic to:

If you send 100 clicks to an affiliate program one month with no sign ups then try a different program the next. Don't send traffic to loads of different programs - pick two or three to begin with so you can measure the difference in conversion ratio.

Also keep in mind what keywords people are using to find your site, are they finding what they were looking for? Would increasing the traffic for these keywords be the answer? If you have the right keywords 50 visitors per day is plenty.

There is no simple answer. It is all blood, sweat, tears and experimenting.

One of my site makes more money with less than 100 a day than the other with 300-500.

Yes content is king, i am still not much expert to write good articles anyway i notice that important are customers who come for a serious intention, and i have 50/daily of them, means those come to find serious and reputable info, so is not that much important how many views i receive but the quality of visitors, and that is my target, to find and attract them. Thanks for your input.
