Whole Site Stolen

I was checking the backlinks to one of my sites in Google's webmaster tools when I noticed a homepage link from http://www.free-casino-bonus.org/ to one of my sites. After clicking through to the site, I saw it was an exact duplicate of my site freecasinobonus.net except for 5 banners. All of the banners and links still have my code listed except for the 5 poker room banners on the left column. It looks like this is the only thing different this thief has done, putting up the 5 banners. This is the first time anything like this has ever happened to me. What should I do?

Thanks for looking into this Greek. I have sent an email to the listed email address listed at who.is, but I doubt it will do any good. Is there anyway to find out where a domain is hosted if they are using private dns? This is all new to me. The site started doing well in Google over the last month so I guess that is why it is being targeted.

Hope I helped a little. After verifying the information over and over again the whois posted is mostly faked. But I did run across some interesting info the island of Cyprus being one of them. I decided to ignore that route but something was pointing towards The Gambling Federation.

In any case I sent ten spam reports to google. To uncover the actual person I used my community. The person in question is in violation of the terms of use of iweb technologies the toll free number is 1-888-909-4932 or International 1 514-286-4242. Give them a call asap. This fellow might pack up quick and move servers. But with a little perseverance “it” may run out of options.

I would like to give a special thanks to Peter (Greek39) for all of his help in this situation. He found out where the site was being hosted and even took it upon himself to contact them and have a lengthy discussion regarding the theft. I hope that the host will remove the sites soon. I appreciate him taking the time and making an effort to help me when he didn't have to.

Yesterday, I sent an email to the affiliate managers of Full Tilt, 888 Casino, Mansion Casino, Pacific Poker, Poker Stars, and Party Poker detailing the situation because these were the programs that he added to the left side of the sites. I haven't received a single reply from any of the programs thus far, which is a bit of a disappointment. I would think that this would be something that they would get on immediately. I also filed a spam report with Google. After reading Greek's post tonight I also sent an email to Iweb describing the situation. I also sent an email to the address listed on the whois records, but I doubt that will do any good.

The sites are still up at this point, but I'm hoping that will change soon. Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread and especially Peter. I would have never figured out where the sites were hosted without his help.

I will update the thread when the sites are removed and if any of the affiliate programs respond to my emails.

there's a surprise! I can't spot one out of the bunch I'd trust further than I could throw my own fat ass.

weed you're gardens or expect small harvest! don't promote places that you know or read about (in large amounts) of bad press. there's a reason these places get their reps. And just because you make a little money with one ..... is no reason not to take the chance on another more reputable program .... and give them the chance to prove themselves!

From what I can see Google has removed free-casino-bonus.org from search string.

Nine pages indexed for this domain. Eight of them all carry the exact
description tag as follows:

FreeCasinoBonus.net features free online casino offers with no deposit or real money deposit match bonuses and free casin games.

This would be considered spamdexing. Iweb is still currently looking into the situation failure to comply will result in further action. It would be Iweb best interest to find a speedy resolution.

Anyway I am hoping to have this wrapped up by early next week. As bb suggested the sites basically have all the hallmarks of being dirty. I do know who is doing this but will remain with me for future reference.

Thank you all for kind remarks I truly appreciate it and those who offered Gamblersland support. Perhaps it would be nice to see more of us helping out because in the end this impacts all.

I did receive an email from Poker Stars stating that they would take action on the affiliate. It's nice to get a reply from a program to say that they at least care and don't want to be promoted in such a way.

I also received a reply from Iweb stating that they have started an investigation into the issue. They say "The first steps of our actions involve contacting the web sites owner, verify if they are aware of the situation and seek their collaboration in resolving the issue." I understand this is the way they do things, but it's pretty cut and dry that these sites are direct copies of my site. Plus, he is still using my links for all of the casinos minus the few on the left side. Anyway, I hope to see them removed this week.

I am happy to report that the content on both domains has finally been removed. A big thanks goes out to Greek and Iweb. Also to Poker Stars, they were the only affiliate program out of the 6 that this thief was promoting to respond to my email and said they were taking action against him. I am glad to see this situation resolved and I hope it doesn't happen again.

I've got a question though: How can I find whether or not my site has been copied or "bowled"?

Since reading this post I've checked my back links in G, and found nothing suspicious. I have searched for my domain name in G and found some sites that have randomly placed my domain name in them. They are also redirected to other casino based sites.

I know it's possible to have sites cloaked, and redirected.. but whats the best way I can search for my content on others sites?
