While these things have their value, I object to the word essential. It's definately not esstential to be successful to go to the to numerous to count events. I want to speak up because anyone new reading this would think they can't get of the ground unless they attend these. We used to see this kind of pressure years ago with the misleading statements that you simply cannot be successful if you don't attend. That is simply not true. There are boatloads of successful affys to that do not attend.

If it's cost effective to go then I think that would be beneficial and by all means everyone who can should. However, for many people traveling to one every other month isn't reasonable unless it's closer to home.

I think what is more effective is to networking and branding with players if possible. JMO
