Why google doesn't support Frame

Why frame or i frame is not good for seo and what are the alternate of this.

iris0101 is right. And, in case you want that page to rank for a specific keyword, try adding a bit of text before the iframe, describing what is inside the iframe.

I'm thinking that you will want to put a game or a game demo. If so, try adding some content so Google will know what that page is about.

Google DOES in fact support frames to a lesser degree, it just depends on what you are trying to accomplish with frames or iframes.

Using frames or iframes to display content on your site in specific instances may be ok, but I do not think it would be an easy task to build an entire site in frames and link all the frames correctly.

I use I frame odds widgets on spots sites and they rank decent. You can always no follow the page if u want

You can surely use iFrames for showing games and stuff like that. The only problem is that Google their crawlers don't understand what you are trying to show with that iframe. Some text - as suggested by harrisrando - should do the job.

Search engine crawlers and spiders do not recognized an iframe - the effects is in your content, if your page consist of iframe search engine crawlers and spiders wont able to fetch and have a record of your content. Meaning your page will still be crawl and indexed but not your content inside the iframe.

In my opinion, search engines can and do support frames and iframes if they are set uou properly, and they DO index the content in the frames and iframes.

The safest method when using frames though is to make sure all pages within your site are listed in your sitemap.

Publishing games and such is likely the most common use of iframes within our industry, and I agree that having some text outside of the frame telling your visitors about the game and what the page is can certainly help the engines determine what the page is about.

IMO there is no opinion at all. Just empty texts, the identity will be probably used for linkbuilding or something like that. Those popup posters with some random talks really **** me off. Maybe they are some AI robots like Xrumer.

Back to the topic. SE of course can detect and index iframes and there are lot of uses of iframes. I can not believe that someone did not notice that webpages today are constructed from subelements that are on other domains. One of the ways is iframing. Google might have more problems with some javascript elements for example.

I do not use a lot of iframes, but I have used them a few times here and there, as well as for posting embedded games.
