Will online gambling be legalized this year?

I saw this on the front page of Yahoo this morning.

It is not an comprehensive article, but it is good a good summary. I am always glad to see mainstream coverage.

If you recall much about the 1920s chapter of your history book, you won’t be surprised to hear that such a prohibition didn’t stop online gambling.

IMO the US Government would be stupid not to regulate the industry considering the debt they are in and the taxes they could make.

On the other hand, considering the UIGEA I'd be surprised if they were smart enough to realise this.

The consistency of legalizing online gambling to US country is truly a positive step to make money out of it. As Renee have said, they can make lots of revenue here out of getting taxes from players! Better look forward for a positive result with regards to this legalization and hopefully brings the best for the state.

I don't believe the US will regulate online gambling country wide, until at least 2014/15 and the next Presidential Election has completed..

In other words, continue to concentrate focus on other markets where online gambling is not deemed the devil's pasttime.
