More ridiculous KYC requests.

Dear Partner,

In line with UKGC regulations we have updated our KYC documentation requests.

Please ensure that you have sent the following documents if you are working as an individual:

1. Proof of ID (Passport / Driver’s License/ Birth Certificate / National Identity Card)
2. Proof of Address (Utility Bill, Bank Statement - the name on the document needs to be the same as the Proof of ID) no older than 3 months
3. Tax Registration (Personal NOT VAT)
4. Domain Ownership
5. Criminal Records (Please note that we cannot approve affiliate accounts for individuals identified as PEP.)

Please send the below documents if you are working as a business:

1. Certificate of Incorporation.
2. Certificate of Shareholders.
3. Certificate of Directors and Secretary.
4. Certificate of Registered Office.
5. Tax Certificate.
6. Corporate Structure leading to all UBOs.
7. Proof of ID and Proof of Address for ALL Directors.
8. Proof of ID and Proof of Address for ALL UBO's (over 5%).
9. Proof of ID and Proof of Address for ALL Shareholders (over 5%) if not the same as UBOs.
10. Bank Statement of the Entity / Financial Statements of the previous audited year.
11. Confirmation that none of the controlling individuals is a PEP**
12. Proof of Domain Ownership.

Are these requests you've posted in the recent past all part of the same network/parent company? All seem to be asking similar (ridiculous I agree!) questions, makes a bit more sense if there's something in common with them all. If not and it's the forthcoming 'new normal' then that's a different matter...

Does not appear to be from the same group. Certainly is becoming the new "norm". Unfortunately the departments requesting the information do not realize what is and not available in different markets to provide. Certainly understood importance to ensure the validity of people and companies but there also needs to be a reasonable reality check by those requesting, typically not the marketing departments requesting.
