    Default Wordpress pages

Wordpress seems by default to create a folder for each page rather than a page. And categories are difficult to get working for pages.
But my question is, would it be better to have page addresses as follows (default)

Ah, my post count is too low to post the question.

    www.xxx.com/page1/
    www.xxx.com/page2/

    or as follows:

    www.xxx.com/subject1/page1/
    www.xxx.com/subject1/page2/
    www.xxx.com/subject2/page3/

    Thanks.

PS~ My site is http://slots-guide.eu just to make it clear the above is in no way trying to spam as it's a made up domain I used for the example

I'd say the first option is more beneficial to use. I renamed my pages to correspond with the heading so it's easier for users to remember. I would even get rid of page1 etc and replace with the heading for the page so my site would use /bonuses rather than /page1. Keeping it simple is the best bet.

Great advice from footballbettingworld. Adding the page title in the url means that the search engines will also be counting those words in the search results.

I only use pages for static content. So I would do the following:
    xy.com/casino-reviews/
    xy.com/casino-reviews/bet365-casino/
    xy.com/casino-reviews/casino-uk/
    xy.com/casino-reviews/slots-magic/
    etc.
