WordPress plugin for customised database?

Bit of a random request but does anyone know of a WordPress plugin that will let me create a search & browse type data base, a bit like the front page of opentable.co.uk.

I want to be able to list a number of categories that the user can choose from & then within each category is a list of websites with information on each.

Hopefully that makes some sense, if not a WordPress plugin then does anyone know of any other sites that could help?
