Which Wordpress theme for affiliate site?

On my other (non-affiliate) soites I always use the free 'Mystique' theme because it looks good, has a lot of functionality, and I know all (!) of its little quirks and foibles.

For the venture into (hopefully) serious affiliate marketing, I am thinking o a bought premium theme. I have looked at Thesis and Affiliate theme. It is hard getting 'real user' opinions as most reviews seem to be selling it via affiliate marketing

I won der if anyone here has experience of these themes and can advise on their suitability for a gambling affiliate site/s?

Hi, Just to say I have gone with Affiliate Theme. Bit of a learning curve but seems ok.

I did a search on google for mine.
I spent $20 on mine to remove the advertising and allow access to edit the footer of my theme.
Take a look at my sig for the new site layout, which is in progress.
I have been very happy with my wordpress theme thus far.

What I'd recommend is you find a website template you like... Then go on a freelancer site - someone there can take the .psd website template and make it a wordpress theme fairly cheap - $50-100 if memory serves. Took about 2 or 3 days, but imagine turnaround could be faster.

Dont feel limited by avalable themes...

I would definitely consider the custom route also. None of the available themes out there are really that good and the ones that are ok everyone has. You can probably get one done on the cheap for around $300-$500 and if you want something really sexy around $1k ish.

As for the affiliate theme one you mention (is it the one at affiliatetheme.net?) I don't see what this really does more than just a stantard free theme. To get it looking good as a gambling site you are going to have to do lots of custom stuff also, so why not just start from scratch instead?

I also highly recommend doing a custom theme and standing out from the crowd - and over time building your own unique and memorable brand. As others have pointed out - it can be done very cheaply and with great results.

custom themes are the way to go for branding and value

Revolution themes are very nice, if you can custumize it.
