    I also know and used this but i see that, the modifications that i make to my site do not publish instantly. There are delays and even not publishings. So i feel inconfident about this and deleted it. Is there a risk for that ? Thanks a lot

    Hey All;

    Is there an option to back-up our WP sites ? I mean how can we make it secure for unwanted losses ? Thanks

    I found Quick Cache to be the best for me, you can also activate gzip by placing the provided code in your .htaccess file. Although logged in users don't see cached pages I would maybe only activate it once you site is launched and has a bit of content.

    For backup purposes I use BackupBuddy which is a premium plug in but well worth the money.

    Hi Casino recomender,

    The WordPress Database Backup is what I use. No problems, not complicated and only takes a few minutes to download to your, database, local files or email. Install the WP-Optimize while you are at it.
    The W3 Total CAche is a good cache program. It lets you empty a single page before you look at a revision. So there is the new revision available to you instantly. It has no Compression feature. That would come with the WP Super cache. I am having trouble with it at the moment because it is incompatible with my Godaddy Apache server. If you like it but have an Apache server, then stay tuned because I am talking with Goddady now to find a solution. I feel the compression is important for me.

    There are comprehensive instructions in the Quick Cache admin area. Best to read up and get the correct code.

    I found this plugin to be a bit overly complicated and did not work as well as Quick Cache.

    I see. Thanks a lot. I have installed and activated W3 Total Cache but as you said it says "It appears Page Cache URL rewriting is not working. If using apache, verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess or if using nginx verify all configuration files are included in the configuration." As i am using GoDaddy for hosting the same problem i think... So we have nothing to do but wait. ! I am not sure whether to use WP Database Backup. Thanks for your recommendation but after i have installed, i have entered into settings and it seems a little bit complicated regarding the writing permissions etc.

    Well casinorecommende,

    I have a DeD-icated Server. I can adjust a few settings (the ones I know how to use) and chmod (which means defining who does and who does not have access to different files) is easy to do. But you are most likely on a shared hosting plan. So I am stumped there. Contact Support and they will tell you (the bad news) what to do. .htaccess is a very important file that gives, redirects and other small important interactions. They are talking about adjusting its setting to allow into the data base. So if the .htpacsess is blocking Godaddy's servers... not good. It needs a chmod change if so.
    I have a ticket in with Goddady's expert hands asking for a quote to "make it work". I will definitely give you the results when the work is done, in progress or abandond. I am also asking them to adjust their settings on their server to some new standards Google came up with, to speed up the pages. It is called mod_page speed.
    Mod Page Speed Overview

    Using Mod Page Speed

    WordPress Database Backup... that is what you really meant by "WP Database Backup". OK then. Lots of configuration options but don't really worry about them right now. Most (not all) are things you probably do not need to check. The main thing is to go to the center section (of the three sections) called Backup Options. I download my backup to my computer. Funny though. It ends up on my desk, not my download file.
    "Check the Download to computer" then you only have to walk 2cm down to the "Backup now!" button.

    You should be able to do a full backup of the database from inside your cpanel.

    Thanks a lot very very much for your comprehensive help and information. I am unpatiently waiting for the response of GoDaddy.
