Worst Day Ever

Yesterday's boxing day football results have smashed me. December was already looking like my worst month for over a year, yesterday I took a massive hit at all my bookies, what a set of results! I just checked my stats and it was like a 'gosh' moment, such is life as a sports betting affiliate, yesterday was my worst ever day so far for money lost on one single day.

I knew the game was up when lots of people on my Facebook were putting about their accumulator wins!

Yeah I thought that as well when I woke up and saw all the winning acca photos in my feed...

I would love to say it was different for me but im afraid i was smashed yesterday as well, by far my worst ever day !!!

Awful day to cap a pretty dismal month for us too. December is always a little slow for us with little or no golf, however the sea of red numbers yesterday suggests a fair few Boxing Day football accas were landed to compound the misery

I can only agree with you. December is a bad month for us affiliates. I'm more casino affiliate than sportsbetting but there is still a good share of sports. I also had loss yesterday.

I haven't been brave enough to look at my Euro sportsbook accounts.
I expect carnage as our tips went close to 100%

But thanks to the beauty of diversification our North American sportsbooks are fine.

Had some really big + numbers on Xmas day but boxing day was a real hideous mess - hoping tomorrows matches will post some big positives.

not checked properly but seen a few bad numbers quickly on my phone, racing was a nightmare boxing day as well as football

but the way I look at it is the more they win the more they have to lose

but agree the month so far has been good for the punters

Should be something of a correction tomorrow following that set of football results, some real acca-busters today.

I wouldn't worry about it so much.

I had a big winning treble on Boxing Day myself but managed to make 8 consecutive losing bets on NBA, and lost everything I won. Punters get greedy and usually lose what they win.

Besides, there were plenty of upsets today. Man City-Burnley 2-2 (and Burnley came back from 2-0, too, ruining most live bets). So I guess it evened out pretty quickly. I'm expecting some strong numbers tomorrow.

It's not the worst day ever, there has been a much worse one a year ago or so, when all favorites won across all leagues, causing an unprecedented beating of the bookies.

Man City game had £200k+ matched at 1.01 on Betfair's exchange! As said must have been a good day as only 1 team in PL top 7 won.

Yep hopefully today's results see a good amount of money clawed back. Not happy at all with City's showing though, a real chance missed to get to with a point of Chelsea.

Draws are usually good results for bookies / affiliates - punters seem to love to back a team rather than take the draw.

Lottery tickets was selling good. November and December a lot of turnover.
American MegaMillions lottery jackpot is now at $172million driving playing clients.
Having in mind odds of winning, I really do not understand why people play them furiously.
Perhaps, when they see a winner in the newspapers holding $200million check, or so.

Yesterday was a good one, recovered the majority of my losses from the Boxing Day nightmare but still a poor month compared to the previous 11. Am at about 35-50% of what I usually do.

Boxing day was horrific for everyone I would imagine. Yesterday was a much much better day thankfully!

Yeah, pretty much even now on most accounts with the exception of one which took an absolute battering on Boxing Day from one punter.

Racing in the last few weeks can't have helped either, Hurricane Fly won today, seems like most the big races were won by the favourites.
