    Question WP Tricky question ???

    Hi Everybody

In the main menu of my theme there is a sub menu option. SO my question is if i have the main menu item of "Casino Bonuses" and sub sections of "Deposit Bonuses" and "No-Deposit Bonuses" . For which of these shall i use "Page" and "Category" . I mean shall i use "Category" for the main menu item and "Page" for the sub items ? or "Pages" for all of them ? or "categories" for all of them ?

    thanks a lot

Sorry, don't quite understand your problem.
Categories are related to "posts" these can have sub categories as you describe above. Pages are separate and static.

I think you may be referring to your dashboard>settings>reading page, where you identify which page will be your front/home page. This can be a static page or your latest or filtered posts.

If that is the question then I cannot really advise without knowing more about the site set up, but will suggest you stick with "latest posts" and see if that works for you.

Hi sorry for the confusion and thanks for your efforts to solve my issue to summarize. By saying "main menu item" i mean the main menu titles like poker, slots etc... By saying "sub sections" i meant when you come on the main section link there is a sub menu opening on the menu . The question is that shall i use bot pages for main ang pages for subs ? Or shall i use category for main and pages for subs ? Am i clear enough ? Thanks a lot

Are you talking about adding pages and categories to your navigation menu?

In a default WordPress setup you can add pages, categories and custom links to your menu. When adding categories or child-categories to your menu this is how it will work.

A category link in a menu will link to a category page that lists all posts attached to that particular category and subsequent child-categories.

If you place a child-category in the menu this will link to a category page that lists all posts attached to that particular child-category and subsequent child-categories, but will not list any parent categories above it.

    Hope that makes sense.

Nope, I would not have a page under a category. Keep child categories with categories and child-pages with pages.
