Write your congressman

Hello everyone -

With all the recent anti-UIGEA legislation, I think it's important that all the U.S.-based GPWA members join the PPA and write their congressman.

It's free to join and it has more than 550,000 members now.

As a member, they have web tools that allow you to write your congressman just by putting in your name, address, and zip code.

I did it today, especially since Rep. Jim McDermott is speaking to congress this evening and the House financial services committee is holding a hearing on Barney Frank's IRGEA tomorrow.

In my opinion, most congressman don't really care about this issue either way. The more they are contacted by poker players, the more they will side with "freedom" arguments we keep presenting.

Frank seems to be pushing the issue hard and he has some sway. Let's help if we can.

I totally agree with you about joining the Poker Players Alliance.... I have not done so yet as I live in Canada, but I would recommend for all US affiliates to join the fight to bring back online gaming into the US.
