WSOP site receives French poker license
The World Series of Poker is making a move into France, both online and on land. Caesars Entertainment announced last week that the World Series of Poker Europe, which had been held in London since 2007, would be moving to Cannes in 2011.
The WSOP-branded online poker site also made major news last week as it was approved for a French online gambling license.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal has the details:

This is a double celebration for the French poker players both online and on land! Also the venue for WSOPE will have double capacity compared to previous WSOP and seven bracelet events will be held. How cooler is that?

Well this calls for a celebration! Having this license is a great achievement for both WSOP's online and land based field. Looking forward for the best with regards to these legislation.

Well, I hope that really means something great aside from given the license. They're only moving.

That's a great news to all poker players in France. The long wait is over and WSOP is now on their country!

This is good news as it had not been great with WSOP.com only accepting English players it limits to where us affiliates can promote and hopefully we will start to see a lot more players online with the new influx of French players. Also it will be nice to make a change and hold the WSOPE in Cannes.
