Your Better Half!

Some of us have been hanging around here a long time. Some are kinda new. We all have something in common. Our other half! Or better half, depending on how you look at it.

Does your other half approve? Do they understand what you do? Does your family? Or do you not even bother because it would take 6 months to explain.

My better half some of you know as pdjoe. He is the bestest ever and always forgiving. For example, he will forgive me for this post. Really though, he is in this biz for many years now, him longer than me, he has taught me so much. We share all of our trials and tribulations.

I am a lucky girl.

Edit to add: No 'other half' nessacary to the single folk. How do your friends and family take what you do? Or, do you tell them?

Hi Mojo,

My wife works for a large diamond company she supports me although she is not a big fan of the online gambling business. I tell friends and family we promote casinos and in turn we receive a commission from the player's losses. That said, most of them don't understand the concept of promoting an online casino for a percentage so I normally leave it at that.

I took my wife to the Niagra conference so now she has an idea, and she even made me a list of important things she learned that I now have to do lol.

My wife is starting to understand it more, although she keeps out of the way for the most part.

My Wife is cool with what I do and understands the business generally. She helps out now and again, checking stats, etc.

The rest of my family don't get how affiliates work so I just tell them I have websites with gambling related information and run advertising on them. It seems the quickest way to roughly explain what happens.

I am single but I tell my friends I am an online affiliate. Most know I started in Gambling niche tho

My Niece knows each and every site as they are all her's if something happens to me

I think my family have a fair idea about what I do. Most people when you tell them you work for an online casino group they ask if you deal cards because they don't understand what an online casino is. So it's better just to say I work in online marketing.

Pretty much the same here. The wife helps a little with social media (does liking my posts help?!) and the family generally get what's going on too.

I remember years ago I had some elderly reletives visiting. I went out to the store and while I was gone a casino called to offer something, can't remember who now. They used my name. So when I got home I got a good talking to on the evils of gambling. I simply endured it because explaining was out of the question lol.
