    *sigh*

No, my site features sports betting offers. The bookmakers I feature also have casinos, but I am not targetting people looking for casinos. I am not promoting casinos. I have no casino information or content. I am targetting sports betting traffic. It's worrying that an SEO consultant dosen't understand that, but I think the most likely reason is that you didn't bother reading my site.

As for targetting a low search keyword, I suggested this as an easy way to evaluate your service. However, low search keywords can be very valuable if they are well targetted, and 'compare free bets' is very well-targetted at my site.

I'm working on the principle that you should optimise for keywords which actually match your site content, perhpas I'm just crazy like that.

If you think targetiting a casino keyword is a good plan for a site about sports betting, you have demonstrated the quality of your advice.

I don't appreciate the insulting PMs.

As for 'GPWA trolls' - again, insulting people is not a great way to sell a service. I think you're frustrated because you've been called on the BS.

According to your posts, you have signed up 6 people in a matter of days, so I suggest you go and get on with your work for them.

Hi there, I will do a health check now for you. Could you please tell me which keywords you are targeting as they are not visible in page source.

    Thanks

If, as PokerSpnsor suggests, he had 10 spaces available and is now down to 4, I'm sure those 6 people won't mind confirming that here, and we can get their references for his work so far?
I have to agree with PokerSpnsor you do have online casinos advertised. Why advise extreme caution when you haven't even worked with the person. I am having him work on my site and so far so good.

Before advising caution make sure you have worked with a person first.

From another thread, you site has dropped in google 1 reason being because of spammy links. So take the advise you get wisely.

I will report back when Pokerspnsor has finished what he is doing with my site, until then people need to get a grip before claiming someone to be unprofessional, unable to deliver or being unethical. You have to work with someone first before passing judgement.

He is simply advertising to help people. If you don't want the help then don't ask!!

I merely advised caution, and I had good reason to.

Again, I don't advertise or target any casinos. Every single one of my offers is for sports betting. Casinos are not even mentioned. Some of the bookmakers also have casinos, but ALL my players sign up for sports betting, not casinos. It really should not be difficult to understand this.

And again, my site had a temporary drop in google due to a technical issue which was resolved, and the small issue I had with spam links was down to a rogue 'seo consultant'. I have pointed this out 3 times now.

    You have good reason to?

You haven't even worked with the guy. Sorry but i am not getting you. If you had worked with him, he made changes and something fell through or didn't workout, then you would have a reason to. Simply getting advise and or a report does not warrent a caution. Also trying to push for other keywords is good as well and doesn't hurt at all. Its all gambling related.

Maybe what you should have said to the keyword he suggested is that you did not want to. If you don't want his help don't use him simple as that. Don't caution someone just because you disagree with what they are advising you. sheesh!

Yes, I have good reason to.

Advising a site about sports betting, with no casino content, to target a casino keyword because it has higher traffic, after supposedly reviewing the site in detail, is highly questionable. It certainly suggests that this person had not understood the site or the requirements. Your attempt to defend it strikes me as strange. 'It's all gambling related' doesn't help me. Would you target a bingo keyword for a poker site?

This was one factor in my decision to advise caution.
I stand by everything I have said.

EDIT: Player's Luck - reading through the thread, I notice you were the one who originally criticized the OP because he was insulting to the GPWA forum... Why the u-turn? Why are you defending what was clearly bad advice?

EDIT: CasinoBonuses - He deducted some points from my check for some reason, because he gave me a score of 86, and website grader puts me at 94. He did say afterwards that he had used other tools as well and has his own scoring system.

Ok I see you are upset and I apologise for this,

I do not want arguments or any hard feelings. Yes I may have suggested a keyword that your sites content is not currently optimised for. I was simply looking for keywords that have medium competition and high search volumes which expect to bring in more revenue, for this I am sorry.

You could have simply asked me to change the keywords to sports betting only, please note I do not read every article on your website when I do a health check, I am simply looking at how well optimised your site is. When I did my health check on your site I read half of the homepage and that was it, it would be a waste of my time to read every page on your website because sometimes the page level can reach over 10,000 especially if a site has a forum.

But there is no need to carry on replying with the argument as you clearly do not want my help and you have stated your feelings so please accept my apology I never intended to upset you.

Purely because my original post was more targeted at a comment he made about this site. Nothing about he business ethics. I have started working with the guys. Do some research on his own sites and compare them to yours. How do you compare?

I think even with his own sites ranking ok. He must be doing something right!

Good for you. I stand by what i say too how bout you give it a rest, wait a few months then when you've seen other sites sore past your results you could then come back and maybe see if he is still willing to work with you

I know what my answer would be based on your posts in this thread and others! Stick around there is alot to learn from being a member here

No stranger than issuing a caution without working with some first....lol I will defend anyone i see fit, i may defend you sometime in the future. Its not a crime

Issuing a caution about someone who might have said oh use this keyword. How pathetic.

Just got of one of our better optimised affiliate sites reviewed through from this guy and it was honest and correct - actually quite refreshing if honest as I was expecting to pick apart his response.

Put simply he told us that he had looked into it as far as he could and can't find a way for improvement which would warrant us paying for his services (damn right ). He said if we want to increase ranks then we need to invest further into link building and look further afield into long tail search terms (he gave good specifics), rather than just the broad we are targeting at the moment.

I don't generally use people like this (and I won't because we work in house) but it definitely seems he is one of the better guys.

    PokerSponsor, apology accepted.

Jamie, there is no need to insult me. To be clear, I specified that I wanted to target UK betting traffic, and the suggestion I got was to target international casino traffic. What he's done for you or anyone else is irrelevant to the advice I got. I agree, let's see where we are in a few months. I wish you the best of luck and I hope it works out for you, but I'm certainly not going to shed any tears if other sites 'sore' past me because I didn't take up this offer. We live and learn.

Website grader rocks, I use it myself, I know other people who use it too, as Poker Sponsor says its part of his health check and using these tools are great, the importance though is "Understanding" the reports and knowing what to do with them, it also helps you mine a little deeper into what is causing the issues, if you know your SEO then great, if you don't then you need someone who does Thats my twopenneth

PS - please do not waste time with stupid posts or virtually impossible keywords to achieve first page for ie "poker" "online poker", this forum has a very bad reputation for people posting silly replies and ganging up on people which is very unprofessional.
for 300$/month i hope nobody really expects first page for "poker" :P

Hi there "must" I am starting next month to optimize for the keyword "poker" and I am charging $99 per month! I expect this will take me at least 6 months to acheive but watch this space.

Anyway the reason I am replying to this thread is because I said I would post my results and here are just some examples after 3 months of work,

http://www.fundoopoker.com - Literally any keyword variations of "poker india" so few examples, poker in india, poker bonus india, poker india, india poker bonuses etc etc (I have only worked on this site for 1 month!)

http://www.rakeback4.me - "1spoker rakeback" "party poker rakeback" "poker4x bonus" (this has been a matter of one month per keyword)

http://www.pokerclock.com - "poker clock" (only been working on this site for one month)

http://www.pokersponsor2-0.com "poker sponsorship" "poker challenges" "poker sponsor" (my site)

I am now accepting more sites again, if anyone is interested please send me a pm and we can discuss your seo needs.

Could we hear from any of the site owners who have got your services and paid for?

I am interested possibly but would need to know how things improved from them in their own words if possible.

    Tim owns Fundoo Poker right?
