Congratulations! Great to see a success story such as this, and having started out around the same time, just shows what progress could have been made with some better decisions!

So the motto of the story is.... stop coming on forums so much and focus on your businesses if you want to get someone to buy it for £11.5m

Ha... Just because someone hasn't posted often doesn't mean there not on the board, maybe even a lot..😊

Yeh I realise there are lurkers who read the posts from good contributers, learn things and TAKE the advice but don't GIVE much back - it's just a good way of them to spy on rival sites and webmasters.

In light of this realisation and that the GPWA isn't particularly fit for purpose, about 3-6 months ago I really started to scale back my output on here. Apart from checking the odd payment issue there really is not a lot to see here nowadays. What's the point in giving your lurking rivals a heads up on what you've learnt? There is none.

Does anyone have a copy of the terms before the update? I'm keen to know if 15% on crossover has always been there?

In general the advice you get on this board and other webmaster boards of different endeavors is ageless. You know of course SEO and social media is important. Specifics of how to utilize them are available on many different sites. For the most part it all really depends how much effort you want to put into it.

To be me that's what really makes the difference..

Maybe someone figures out a way do it a little better than the last guy.. Good for them.. You certainly wouldn't expect that to be revealed...

If you've been to warriorforum . com it's very similar in that people will talk about what they do online, give advice and in the end you decide how you will use what you read. And some of the advice you get there is very specific, I would say even more than you would read here..

Specifically, as this thread pertains to Mike, I would be very surprised if he is still not actively involved in the site he sold..

People do sell properties, but often remain to advice and run important parts of it, especially in something that is so SEO and social media dependent on its success..

That's an old internet story.. Buy a site with high traffic because of the talent of the individual who owned and ran it, then in the not to distance future the high traffic gradually disappears..
