    9) Advertisements

Use advertisements such as adsense or pay famous websites related to your niche to post ads on their sites for a set fee.

    10) Submit Your Website To Search Engines

Submit your website url to famous search engines like Google and Yahoo. This will enter your website to result on search engine pages for the keywords you choose.

    11) Post Content At Regular Intervels

Google loves to give people the latest updates for what they are searching for. Post at regular intervals and the web crawlers will see you post regularly. This will automatically get you better SEO and you will drive more traffic to your website.

    12) Quality Content

Create quality content on your website. So much so that people will be sure to come back for more later. Ongoing followers are a great way to increase traffic to your website. The more followers you have, the more it will entice other people to become followers! Keep them coming back for more!

You should've include PPC and SMM. Both can really boost your traffic. Anyway it was a really helpful article.

    10) Submit Your Website To Search Engines

Not keen on this approach - I prefer letting Google/Yahoo etc find me. If they cannot then it's obvious there are errors that need fixing!

I would also add to keep yourself updated on all the latest seo knowledge, for example 12 & 13 are especially important in light of googles recent changes

Since you said that, I remembered one of the famous SEOs in the industry said in his eBook that if you don't mind waiting for 6 month (I think) for your site to be crawled then use it.

We add and update new sites to our index each time we crawl the web, and we invite you to submit your URL here. We do not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear.

Please enter your full URL, including the http:// prefix. For example: http://www.google.com/. You may also add comments or keywords that describe the content of your page. These are used only for our information and do not affect how your page is indexed or used by Google.

Please note: Only the top-level page from a host is necessary; you do not need to submit each individual page. Our crawler, Googlebot, will be able to find the rest. Google updates its index on a regular basis, so updated or outdated link submissions are not necessary. Dead links will 'fade out' of our index on our next crawl when we update our entire index.

Each to their own - but if I can't get my website into Google within 6 months then I should be working in a different industry

Plus, if you're only getting into Google because you've submitted your site, I am going to assume you're not going to rank very well!

Submitting your site directly to Search Engine might be harmful to the site itself. Organic SEO (stated above except #10) still reigns on the top if you want a better ranking for your website!

Posters who post for the sake of posting (you know who you are), use the Thanks link...But that wouldn't get you another sig link, would it

I just realized the original post was stolen word-for-word from Webmaster World.

This thread will be closed or archived later today since the content does NOT belong here since it was copied from elsewhere.

Wildnet I do believe that you have been warned previously but I will verify this.

Baccarat, he is certainly NOT an expert but clearly is a spammer and is only at the GPWA for sig links.
