Anyone know if there are any affiliate programs or any software in the pipeline that allows you to track visitors after they've gone to a casino site? Would be great to be able to see which visitors are actually depositing and which ones just browsing...

Yeah that's cool but you still don't know the precise origin of the player, like where he came from before going through your site - that's lost once he's gone to the casino.

Every analytics tool can show this... google -> keyword -> movement on your page -> Exit to casino...

Sure yes, but after they've gone to the casino you can't see which ones are converting and which ones are just browsing - would be great if the casinos let you put some tracking code on their site so you can see behaviour AFTER they've left your site.

You can find out which users converted (i.e. where they came from), but you won't be able to find out anything about the user journeys that your referred customers undertake on the operator's website. You can pass whatever variable you want through the SubID functionality (called SubID on Netrefer, ACID on Income Access, Payload on MyAffiliates). For example if you are running PPC you could pass through the keyword and for each of your depositors you can then find out which keyword they joined through. Most affiliates will use their own affiliate network platform or an optimisation platform to do this though, so the operator just gets a worthless character string, rather than getting any keyword information.

I don't have a particular recommendation, but as a starting point you can do that kind of thing with HasOffers or Improvely. I am sure there are others (that are probably better).

There are a couple ways to integrate this type of view.

Most programs offer you the ability to pass through a custom parameter in your affiliate link. You can link this paramter to your original website traffic and you should be able to build a funnel using the affiliate program data along with your website tracking data to see which pages, traffic sources and banners are converting across your site.

There isn't really a one stop solution for this kind of thing as it is dependant on your internal traffic tracking system. There are also some issues around GDPR compliance that you should take into account.

If you need some help around how to implement it technically, just pm me and I can offer you some guidance based on your current system. I am unable to provide advice on the GDPR side though as we are still busy with our compliance project.

Thanks Randall, I'm looking into the Netrefer backend at the moment and noticed the 'pixel tracking' and 'dynamic variables' options in the media section - this looks like what we're after but there's no explanation of how to implement them ! I've emailed one of our affiliate managers for advice but any input would be much appreciated

we track our visitors and users after they moved to the brands.
at our website we can see every visitor events on the brand: lead, deposit, FTD, deposit amount, etc.. we can also see it a user signed up to few brands.

to do that you'll need to make a huge changes in your website (we dont use wordperss so i can't help you with that) here is an example of report from our eco-system.

Since we are still on beta version we only work with few affiliates, once we stable all the systems it will be open for all affiliates.
we are not an affiliate network! though we provide almost all the functionality of network

@promotiontailor, the program stats look nice. We spent a lot of time developing a similar system inhouse. Creating a framework that combines webstats with program stats is very tricky with the various affiliate systems out there.

Another company that has done a good job integrating at the program and traffic level (not so much on site) is intellitics. Integration with them does require a full stack developer though.

Not yet Randall, got some subID tracking going with one affiliate program but each one is different and it still doesn't provide enough information and means creating several identical pages to keep track of which ad groups are sending the most customers.

I guess what's needed is a way to assign unique subIDs to each visitor on the site in real-time, so when they click on a link it automatically generates the subID and links it to the data from the ppc network, is that what your program does promotiontailor? Will be very interested to join your program once it's up and running.

exactly, but that's the easy part. anyone can send a random subID (GUID), but some program restrict it to be 10/12/15 max length. so you need something that fit all, such as global counter.
you should also log all clicks, pull statistics from website, convert to readable source and so on...

we are the biggest client of this system so we know (or think we know) what the affiliate needs.
we actually thinking of making it free of charge for a small-medium affiliate website.
