Exclamation ActiveWins Taking Funds & Closing Accounts

ActiveWins are looking to monetise. Got this email from them today (after the shut off period ) which handily supplies no details if somehow you have forgotten your login details. How does this sit with the GPWA ethics committee ? I will be in correspondence with them re this and will be updating this thread with responses.

    Inactive Balance Transfer

According to our records, your account appears to have been inactive for 12 months or longer, and that you are no longer actively promoting Betfred.

An unclaimed balance remains in your account as of 31/05/2016. We want to give you every opportunity to collect these funds. To ensure this happens, please follow the steps below:

    1. You have seven days to claim these funds by emailing inactivebalance@activewin.co.uk
with your ActiveWins username, account balance and payment details. If no response is
received after this time, Betfred will recover the unclaimed balance in full, and your Betfred
account will be closed due to inactivity (Section 13, 13.5 of our affiliate program
Terms and Conditions state that any funds that remain inactive for 12 months or more will
    be reclaimed).

    2. Once you have contacted ActiveWins, please allow up to 45 days for payment to be made.

    3. After the stated period, you still have an additional six years to recover the funds by
making contact with us; however you will no longer have an active Betfred account.

Please note: If you generate a new depositing account before 31/05/16 you will no longer have an inactive balance.

If you are still working in affiliate marketing and would like to reactivate your account, we would welcome the opportunity to continue our affiliate partnership.

Please contact us at hi@activewins.com for more information on promoting Betfred offers. Our team will be happy to assist you in any way to get back up and running.

We look forward to working together with you again in the future.

This is even more disgusting than most people understand in my opinion.

You see, BetFred are still getting traffic from affiliates, but the ActiveWins scam group is NOT giving affiliate credit for that traffic (whether it converts or not since Betfred has done and extremely ****-poor job of converting for years anyway) and then they state to the affiliates they are no longer getting such traffic, and yet they ARE getting traffic, and then they steal old balances from the affiliate based upon the lie.

And of course it doesn't matter if you have been an affiliate for more years then ActiveWins has been around, and it doesn't mean a damn thing even if you have been an affiliate longer than the switch over to I/A before the switch to ActiveWins....(the OLD school Playtech program in those days.....back in the days when stuff just plain worked.....)

Back in the days when the contracts we had with the affiliate program did not has piece of **** quotas....which were added MANY years later in breach of our original contracts.

Interesting that they feel fully justified stealing these funds now since they are held on deposit....for us cause we mean so damn much to them huh....

They should just pay is every damn dime they owe us, no matter what the balance is and if it costs them more money to pay us then they owe us, SO WHAT, since this is nothing more then an exercise that shows they can NOT be trusted ever again.

Good afternoon, ActiveWins want to help all affiliates claim outstanding funds that are in the system. There is an option on the site for forgotten login details on the Betfred brand page. However, if you prefer to send me a direct message with your email address, our account managers will be happy to get in touch to walk you through the process or answer any questions you may have. Please be assured we are working with our affiliates on this. –Bernadette Kelly

Below is what I was pointed to. Mine is £112 from sub affiliates, that is below the £150 for an electronic transfer. None of the other options are valid for USA affiliates.

Our affiliates should receive their payments by the 20th of the month. The payment thresholds are as follows:
    Electronic transfer - £150
    Neteller - £50
    Skrill - £50
    Player account - £50

Hi guys, we understand there have been concerns about how to proceed with unclaimed funds following an email that was sent to help our ActiveWins affiliates claim funds from Betfred accounts that appear inactive. If you are unsure of how to proceed, please leave your contact details in a DM and we’ll gladly be in touch to answer questions or help in any other way. Additionally, Betfred will be providing us with further details shortly, which we will share once received. -Bernadette Kelly

    Hi guys, to clarify:

    Betfred Statement

Betfred have a large number of affiliate accounts where money is left dormant for many, many months and where the account appears to have been completely forgotten about. As part of our routine housekeeping, we want to make our affiliates aware of their money which is sitting in their accounts and nudge them to claim their money.

Therefore, Activewin were asked to roll out a process regarding inactive balances and sent out an email to all affiliate accounts, which had lain dormant with absolutely no activity for over 1 year.

We can see that the communication that went out has caused some alarm due to some misinterpretation. Therefore, I want to reiterate the key messages within that email:
    * We want you to claim your money as soon as you can and follow the process outlined in the email.
    * However, should you be unable to do so – you still have a further SIX years to claim your money.
    * No one can or will withhold any of your funds before that extended deadline of SIX years.
    * Our commitment at Betfred and at our affiliate management partner Activewin, to work closely with affiliates and be transparent and fair in our dealings, continues to be our highest priority. This is why we have allowed for this extended period.

If anyone has further concerns about this process – please contact Activewins at hi@activewins.com. And if you want it further escalated to Betfred, please mark the subject line: FAO: Acquisition Department, Betfred.

    Kind regards

I wish it was that easy. I'm in the USA and the minimum for wire is £150. After 7 days they close the affiliate account. My money is from sub-affiliate players not direct players. I'm assuming if they close the account then any future sub affiliate earnings are not credited to my account, thus never getting to the minimum £150 for wire which seems the only option. Skrill and NT are not an option for USA affiliates afaik.

Hi Bernadette, I do not work with you guys yet. I cannot bring myself to work with you guys when month in and month out there are payment delays. Your terms state one date and your actual payment date is much later each and every month. Get your payment situation straightened out on a monthly basis and I would be happy to consider working with you.

    Cheers,

    Shay

    Hi guys,

We've received the following statement from Betfred regarding the inactive account funds:

Following our recent communication regarding funds in inactive accounts, we would like to outline to those who may have missed our recent announcement.

Betfred’s intention was to work with affiliates to clear up dormant accounts where money has been left untouched for months, and no new players have been sent over a period of 12 months. As part of this process, Betfred was not aiming to penalise any affiliates. We now recognise that there are affiliate partners who would still like to work with us. For these affiliates, we will reopen their accounts and set them to 10% revenue share until they can initiate communication to promote Betfred actively.
Please contact ActiveWins at hi@activewins.com should you want to reopen your account, have additional questions or need further clarification.

As Acquisition & Retention Director at www.betfred.com, my priority is to build a long-lasting, mutually profitable relationship with all of our affiliates.

    Kind regards

    Punit Shah

Please contact is on the forum or by email hi@activewins.com so we can assist in any way we can. -Regards, Bernadette

Interesting comments, I've been approached by ActiveWins to promote Kerching Casino and BetFred Casino.

Did have a few issues with accessing my account in the affiliate system but apart from that they have been helpful up to now.

Lets see how we get on, will update in a month or so once we have some traffic flow.
