Which Aff Program should I choose?

I'm trying to work out which Programs to use on my new site and would really appreciate some advice on which sportsbook to choose to support my cricket site?

I've chosen a couple already and at this stage think I want 1 more but really unsure who to go with and whether to look at CPA or rev share?

I'd love to get some help from some more experienced affiliates

Since you will be targeting more non-US market, I will allow a few of the other guys make recommendations on the books that would be better suited for you.

I do not currently work with these guys, but I would say Bet365 is one for sure.

I'm sure quite a few will pop in here the next few days and gove you a few to look at.

Laura ,I would recommend Paddy Power , Ladbrokes ,Bet365 and Unibet for sure.We do Rev Share on all of these and really this is only our second year into the sports.

You should also know that all the programs here generally have good reps who will reply to you .Also there are many great sports affiliates here and you should pay attention to their feed backs on some sports books too.

Thanks casinobonusguy , I'm actually working with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power now so must have been thinking the same I think I may wait for things to pick up a bit before I look at considering others. But I will def bear Bet365 and Unibet in mind if it does.. Thanks for the advice
Erica , It seems slow going at the moment - how long does it take other affs before they start seeing signed up players after starting new site? And is there anything anyone feels I should be doing differently on the site to help me to get more players? Any advice would be much appreciated

You can also try Betfair.

Although I like Betfair's product regarding the exchange they are not the best choice in my opinion.

Maybe they have changed the system by now but a while ago they would take away each exchange player from you after 12 months. So you are/were only allowed to earn commission for the first 12 months. That's one thing and secondly it is pretty hard to make a decent amount off the exchange since affiliates earn commission from commission if you know what I mean.

So you gotta have some real whales ... sorry high rollers to make real money with the Betfair exchange.

Also the CPA is not that great, which we don't do anyways.

But of course if you want to recommend only the best brands to your players then there is absolutely no way you can do without Betfair!

Maybe this goes without saying, but your best bet might be to run a google search for some of the terms your competing for, and have a look at what other affiliates pop up, and who they're promoting.

The question then should be, should I promote who my competitors are promoting or go for something different....?

Hi Laura, Bet365 are excellent and a big brand now, which helps conversions. For me, they are head and shoulders above most. You genuinely get rewarded across all channels wherever your client joined the site. Some, well most, of the other companies recommended on this thread do not do this. It makes a big difference to revenue. The comments gamblingbutler made about betfair and the 12 months rule are very valid.

Nice site.
A couple of suggestions / comments, hope they are in some way helpful.

High street UK brands and sportsbooks that have penetrated well are generally a good choice for conversion.
Something to bear in mind though is the level of saturation where you promote (keywords and market).
If a lot of the results and sites around you are running the same brands you could do well by adding another recognised brand into the mix.
Just check the level of cricket coverage and odds before choosing.

Your two best avenues are other affiliates and testing.
Speak to other sites (and look who they promote) and test yourself.
I would highly recommend choosing 1 or 2 major partners (you seem to have) and trying banners or links from a few other (but still trustworthy) brands to see how they convert against each other.
Part of the test is the relationship.
Having a good affiliate manager is almost more important than anything else.

I would reccommend staying true to your vertical and market as much as possible and not becoming too tempted to add "quick win" casino and poker banners unless this is in a dedicated section.
This route will take longer to build a revenue stream but will inspire greater stickiness and loyalty which will pay off long term.

A couple of suggestions if I may:
Facebook etc - you've got the share thing down and that's great but the only place I saw your facebook group was on the home page below the fold.
Encouraging followers/fans takes time but can be huge dividends over time.
I would look at adding this icons (at least FB and Twitter) site wide above the fold if possible.
Obviously then you need to keep the content coming on these groups.
Content - you've heard it before and you'll hear it again but sites like yours especially thrive on content.
Some addition of pre-game or post game highlights / thoughts would be a great way to add regular content and give something to engines and users that they would enjoy.
Bets / banners - Your home page banner (Ladbrokes) could be a great place for direct bets.
This is a function of what tools are on offer by the program and what fixtures are upcoming.
This can do really well by displaying specific games with CTA to bet directly.
This encourages more of a sports/content feel and can result in great conversion.
1 way this could work really well is to have a fixtures table (with direct bet links) which updates based on games with a "strip" banner underneath for the brand home page.
If you can do it that in the event of no fixtures a replacement banner is shown, this is ideal.
The other great content avenue is pics or video, just watch the copyright.

Regards a cricket odds banner for the home page I have asked the bookmakers I've got featured on the site but as yet no-one has come back to me If any bookmakers have a banner featuring cricket odds I'd love to hear from you!

It's a shame you guys don't offer sports book as you've definitely convinced me you'd be a great AM to work with
