Default AI-generated content: To be or not to be

AI-generated content is becoming increasingly popular. More and more AI content generators enter the market offering not only writing services but also improved features like generated content tasks. Furthermore, it is said that AI content generators might replace real writers.

What do you think about that? What is your experience with AI-generated content?

Personally I'm not sure whether it is able to replace real people. At least, for the moment and in specific cases especially when you need creativity.

There are a number of threads here at the GPWA that have discussed this quite a bit in recent weeks.

AI will in fact be used to determine if the content was written with AI and in the end, google has clearly stated they do not want to rank AI generated content higher then content written by humans.

If the AI used to determine the content source ends up being better could end up becoming the deciding factor whether to use AI or not.

By opinion about AI generated content is it can't be used. Google will see through it. However, it you use it and take the time to edit an fact check and really make an article out of it, it can speed up the process. Using AI content for tasks may be a good idea.

it's already being used and many are ranking high.. and soon they will all get hit by an algo update.. same as link farms, also hoping sponsored pages get buried too.. there is always some trick people latch onto that works perhaps a year or 2.. then they get destroyed , i wouldnt use it for a long life site..

Yes but until it gets burried the legit sites get pennies, even if any.

I tried for a test to generate text. And I would not upload it to my own site. It seemed to me that it would work better.

It's still a long way off until AI creates good content. I don't know how it will be in the future, machine translations used to be of ridiculously low quality too and today on some pairs they perform better than 9/10 human translators, but this road has taken many years.

I don't like writing myself. I want to write too perfectly and it takes me too long. That's why I was counting on AI. However, I didn't even try it after the test and seeing how poor the text produces. Too beautiful for everything to do itself and the earnings to grow by themselves. My way to write less content is to look for more and more niche topics where I will hook a topic faster.

Artificial intelligence tools are fantastic, but they are still that, tools.

They will undoubtedly replace some jobs, particularly those at the entry-level, but I believe they will also create new ones for those who use them creatively or to optimize processes.

It's as if the tool can replace some skills, but you still need skills to use it (I'm not sure if that makes sense). For example, the outcome you get from ChatGPT is heavily influenced by what you ask for, how you ask for it, and the editing work you do afterward, so the final result is still heavily influenced by your abilities and experience.

    Not to be.
What happened with Google Translate? It's a wonderful tool for communication, however no webmaster will publish AI-generated translation unless it is further checked by a human. Language is so complex and tightly related to our cognitive-biological constitution that cannot be reproduced by a machine. It also applies to ChatGPT.
I write content for gambling websites and other science publications (gambling math, problem and responsible gambling, strategy, etc.) and I am 100% sure that AI will never replace me. That's because the cognitive functions of conceptualizing, abstracting, and generalizing are human-specific; they have not an algorithmic nature. All that AI can do in writing pieces is to combine and articulate existent information in a "decent" and consistent manner. They can deliver products that look great. So, if you want great-looking content, this is the tool for you. If you want content that reflects knowledge, not only information, you need a human writer. And Google knows that.

I prefer to use AI only for Topic ideas, as i think for now the content needs to be fully original and not presented robotic way.

I think Ai can be a great tool to help with ideas and to some extent also writing (depending on the market) You can always let it write something and rephrase it better yourself and make changes in the text to make it more factual etc.

As long AI content gives value to the reader, i think it is here to stay. If its just fluff, get out of here. You cannot expect fluff generated by AI to actually work but, if you add value for the user then it will rank.

I think AI can be helpful, but also I still think that they can't 100% replace the humans in sooner future
