Top 6 UK bookmakers?

Hey,

Please tell me your opinion on the 6 best UK bookmakers, taking into account player retention etc.

From what I know, Bet365 is definitely number 1?

Bet365 are a great online bookmaker, I personally use Betfair as they do seem to care about retaining your business with regular incentives to keep your account ticking over. Previously bet on Paddypower and they too were decent with offers but let them go over them screwing me over in the casino. A lot of the others seem more geared up to getting new business and don't care about you afterwards very much. Corals tend to have the best sign up offers of the lot although Betfair have some decent promotions too. Struggling to find six that are good in keeping you business though!!!

It's very hard to pick the 'best' bookmakers, it depends on what you're looking for and of course personal preference!

I couldn't recommend six though I do promote more than that, most of them have serious issues. Bet365 . . after that I begin to struggle.

I was stung with the Skybet 5% con, and was also deleted from BetVictor since I never promoted them for 3 months, which lost me almost 100 players, so won't touch either of them with a barge pole.

Will Hill will also drop you to 5% if no referals in 3 months. But I agree with the rest

Definitely avoid William Hill!

Ladbrokes are are a good alternative. Market saturation is a problem but my affiliate manager has been great and really supportive despite me being a small affiliate.

Also, no matter how many players I refer to Betfair it makes no money.

Your q was about bookies, but now you are asking about affiliates.
There is no doubt bet365 is nr.1 in both categories, but the places after will be different.

In terms of player retention then Bet365 are miles ahead of anyone else. Betfair seem to run an honest ship and player retention is ok. These are the only two that I bother working with on a rev share model. I work with a fair few more on a CPA and if your going to take a CPA deal then from my point of view Will Hill are the best by a mile, decent conversion and have paid me on time, no questions asked for the last 18 months.

Correct. PinnacleSports do not accept UK players - since 1st November 2014.
They need a proper license (not something on a piece of paper from Curacao) if they are going to accept UK players.

Pinnaclesports's owners got a big scare after continuing to accept US players either on the quiet or through agents ...

I am not sure why they cannot be bothered to get licensed and serve the UK market?
Perhaps it's just not profitable to pay the extra taxes / fees given their generally higher odds ?

Don't know about 6 UK bookies...

I found just 3 that are worth promoting heavily:

Coral - no negative carryover, a HUGE plus for any affiliate, no other decent bookie offers this. Shares casino profits and those can be very good at Coral.

Bet365 - great, but with negative carryover; a bit scared to take on big bettors and sharps. The casino is wonderful, though, high rollers seem welcomed

Betfair (the exchange) - "unlimited" bet size, solid company, doesn't care about arbing.


You want to give your players more options, I suggest adding Bookmaker, 5Dimes and Bovada. All work with UK customers and are not scared to take any size bet from anyone

Betfair only pays for 3 years on exchange. I'd love to know the deductions because there is no way I can make this firm pay.

5Dimes blocks UK IP addresses (as they don't accept UK) and Bovada has only ever accepted Americans and no other country. Bookmaker are, in my view, crooks.

You may be right about 5Dimes, I've seen them peppering La Liga games with banners, I was thinking maybe they lifted restrictions in UK

Bovada (habit) - I meant Bodog, they are both under Betting Partners, so they will move your traffic accordingly, even if you advertise Bovada.

Bookmaker - most solid sportsbook, period. I know what kind of bets they take - there is absolutely no reason for them to be crooked.

5dimes - there's no 'maybe' about it. If you are in the UK now then try going to 5dimes.eu and see how far you get.

Bookmaker may be fair with players, but they can be wankers with affiliates. Either way they are a poor suggestion for a top 6 UK bookmaker to promote from scratch because of their active players term and they don't appear to take on new affiliates any more.

Bodog - Don't take UK at all.

Pinnacle - it is said they sold it right before the bitcoin era. Pinnacle now is not the bookie as before. I think no bookie now can legally operate on main markets, because yes, the taxes and fees are too high for low margin bookies. I would bet here will start the real bitcoin gambling around the world, because pros and arbers will have a problem to get the low odds.

I have a feeling Nitrogensports.eu might be the new Pinnacle. They even look a little bit like a Pinnacle. I would like to know more about the bookie.

US bookies in the UK: it was nonsense to promote them there even when there was no licencing. No Britons will bet at bookie who does not have £ and fractional odds. I suspect even Unibet is not very good in the UK, partly because their fractional odds look retarded when derived from decimal odds.

The UK market is well developed, the money that flow from bookies into advertisement and the market saturation, are second to none. It is a hard market with huge barriers of entry (deep pockets for marketing are needed). For now we have to stick with the big brands. They know it. So they can afford to steal from us, that is the game. (Bet365 is for me simply a miracle, if I were a Christian, I would pay a mass for them every Sat 3PM).
