    Default Another Affiliate manager warning

    Hi guys,

I just got the following email from walter@casinochoice.eu:

    Dear Sir or Madam

I am running trial listings for new casino, poker, and bingo brands on CasinoChoice.co.uk. Trials will include brand review, banner space, and player sign-ups. If you're interested in listing your brand please reply with your url and company details. I have a limited number of positions, and I can only accept brands that are available to UK residents and have a European license to operate.

    Best Regards,

    Walter Chisholm
    Mandalay Media Ltd.

    Email: walter@casinochoice.eu
    Skype: walter.chisholm

I'm sure I don't need to tell you that casinochoice.co.uk are one of the UK's largest affiliate brands and certainly wouldn't be approaching partners like this, especially through a .eu email. Therefore I am 99.999% sure that this is a scam.

I have contacted them already to let them know.

    Stay safe

    Dave M

This is not a scam davemerry. I used a mailer to contact affiliates and I guess I shouldn't have. Sorry about that all.

Any reason why you chose a site name exactly like the .co.uk one? Unless you own the .co.uk site, I would be thinking you are just trying to tail ride another site.

My apologies if you own the .co.uk one. But obviously when registering the domain you done a search and saw there was another affiliate using this name.

    Good post Jamie!

Further more it seems rather odd an email is sent with these credentials:

    Walter Chisholm
    Mandalay Media Ltd.
Trafalgar House, 23 Nelson Street, Douglas, Isle of Man
    Mobile: +442032862776
    Email: walter@casinochoice.eu

But the whois data for casinochoice.eu returns this:

Over and above this information it, seems rather odd
Mandalay Media Ltd would register casinochoice.eu on the 5 July, 2011 BUT only do so for 12 months and then send out the OP mailer a few days later. Not to mention host casinochoice.eu at godaddy when they (Mandalay Media Ltd) have their own servers.

Further more...I find it highly unlikey if not totally out of professional character for
Mandalay Media Ltd (the owners of casinochoice.co.uk) to use a free wordpress theme with theme design sponsor links in their global footer:

    xxxhttp://www.shortpeopleclub.com
    xxxhttp://www.mechanicalengineerjobs.org/michigan-mechanical_engineer-jobs/
    xxxhttp://www.dietitianjobs.net/california-dietitian-jobs

Even more unlikely have yet another link pointing to an online dating site...
    xxxhttp://www.over50onlinedating.com/local/over-50-chat?re=home

My guess the email the OP received IS, a scam!

If Richard who owns Casino Choice has authorised this, it would be good for someone who is in touch with him, to get him to validate that casinochoice.eu is indeed his site.

However this seems very similar to the scam run by the same guys that set up onlineScasinoreviewer.com, pretending to represent my site www.onlinecasinoreviewer.com

Particularly as the mailer that Dave posted, shows the person who wrote it is touting for business for casinochoice.co.uk. I doubt very very very much Richard would ever need to send out mailshots to get business. But apologies if I am wrong.

Poker Listings have also been targetted by this type of scam

    Hi All,

I have received a number of emails regarding this thread. Clearly this company is passing off as Mandalay. The .eu is not something we are associated with and this issue will be put in the hands of legal counsel tomorrow.

I cannot believe they will actually gain anything from this however. Offering to sell CPA deals on a website (casinochoice.co.uk) you have no control over has to be one of the worst business ideas ever conceived.

    Thanks for the head up,
    Richard Skelhorn

I don't appreciate you posting personal emails on a public forum! If you are not interested in being listed please reply "STOP" and you will not receive any further contact. I'm new in this business and am still trying to figure everything out. Give me a break.

Of all the portals you have tried to represent as part of your scam, you have probably picked the worst one possible for you.

Stop trying to scam people. The e-mail you are sending out is misleading and so is your site. If your new to the industry i would heed the advice here because almost all casino programs are part of this community. The ones you are sending your mailings too.

I would reconsider your position here. Instead of crying poor me do the right thing and choose another name. That is what most affiliates in this industry would do. Well ethical ones anyway!

I don't appreciate you posting personal emails on a public forum!
That is public information displayed on your sites whois information. Which anyone is entitled to read.

Strange you should say that, considering in the email you have sent me the signature included 'Mandalay Media Ltd', their business address and also the casinochoice.co.uk logo. The .eu also redirected to the .co.uk site.

Your either a scammer or possibly one of the worst webmasters of all time. I know where my bets are placed....

Interesting deal from our scamming friend here. You pay him 2000 for a 'featured position' and you have to send you're money off to his Pittsburgh account before he sends you a player. But don't worry you are guaranteed 50 players after you do that from twistbox entertainment, or no wait a minute... MM ltd?! I'm guessing thats supposed to be me then. ( Mandalay Media? ).

I actually spoke to this clown and he claimed he was Mandalay Media LLC not LTD registered at the same address. And of course he swerved questions regarding the use of my trademarked logo and then asked me for business advice!

I hope you have a good lawyer 'Walter'.

Going to add him to our blacklisted and unethical webmaster section. My advice would be the more people to expose the harder it will be for him to find casinos to work with him. Someone should also contact the companies registrar in his country and report him for conducting unethical business practices. Also contact his hosting and domain provider.

Look at his domain. Who in there right mind would pay to go on this anyway xxhttp://www.casinochoice.eu/

I am going to start to look more indepth and see what other websites he owns.

Can the title of this thread be edited to add his name and business name by any chance that way Google will pick it up better.

Looking at the photo its the same guys that did this to PokerListings and a load of others...At that time their bank wire info was

    Wacholvia, Routing #: 031000503, Account #:200005881, Swift Code: PNBPUS33

And contact used was Elton Sandoval [mailto:elton@pokerslistings.com] (see extra s after poker)

They have done this to several companies now - very annoying!
