Anyone else use hostgator

I am just wondering if any of you guys are using hostgator and have noticed your site lagging today? I cant access my site or hostgator at the moment.

Hmm strange, its still doing it to me I spoke with hostgator and they dont know either....grrrr

Jamie just out of curiosity, what location are you in? I had an aff a few weeks ago who was trying to show me some pages but they wouldn't load for me, but loaded super fast for him.. turned out his server was having issues with my location.... when I went through a proxy it worked super fast too.. So that could be something to consider.

Sorry just got home, it seems to be working ok now. I am wondering the same thing Renee, us kiwis "New Zealand" are like 10 years behind the rest of the world....lol

Maybe it has somethng to do with our ISP's accessing servers from overseas. Hostgator was pretty good though to try and find out if it was anything their end. They couldn't find anything.

I've never had a single problem with hostgator. I'm actually almost certain it was a minor hiccup in the connection to NZ.

If it is a shared hosting account it could simply be another site on your host miss-behaving and hogging the bandwidth of the particular server your site is on.

HostGator has a ton of servers, so this wouldn't affect all of them... just the sites on the server your site is on. You can do a reverse IP look up to find the other sites on your host to test this next time:
