If so they are just progress play white labels that close down all the time and renege on deals. There is a related thread here.

Personally I would avoid them. They will offer you silly deals but will pull them very early on.

I'm not sure it was ever recommended by anyone other than Google, though there will be some who have had success. To my knowledge, Google still recommend it

I'm not an expert....but my understanding is AMP delivers trimmed down pages that are fast/easily readable on mobile. So....for a page which is pretty light, no fancy stuff....it would be fine in theory. You would lose some functionality, but if you don't use that anyway then NP

It should be fast (which is the main point of it), and Google will very likely 'like' it. If you put 2 pages side by side, one 'normal', one AMP...same quality content...same on page and off page optimization....you might anticipate the AMP one will rank higher.

But with appropriate build you can get a non-AMP site/pages fast anyway.

I think the jury is out. As time goes on.....if Google start giving obviously greater weight to AMP than non AMP...then possibly worth considering (but with extensive testing to make sure what you want to work still works). For some sites...unless AMP is developed further...it will never be a viable solution.

In short...if you have a basic info driven site...then migrating might solve speed issues....but might also add problems.

Agreed.....other than if Google obviously start ranking AMP pages higher than fast non-AMP...then you might consider it (there are other disadvantages of AMP that I'm not clued up enough on)

Page speed is important and doesn't have to be AMP.

Although AMP does give your SEO and content marketing strategy an improvement, you don't really need to have Google AMP if your websites are optimized, and are already loading up quickly.

Yeah, as it has been said AMP on its own doesn't bring much value. Afaik Google doesn't consider AMP a ranking factor in any way. Although I suppose in some cases it may improve your speed, which obviously is quite important.

I had some issues with AMP pages and disabled it. My rankings went down as my revenu.
So I enabled it again and fixed the design issues.
At the end I'm pretty happy with my choice, the website is cleaner and so is the user experience (and the revenu ).
