Backlinks scam?

There is a member here selling links for over two years. I did some business with him and at first it seemed very genuine.

Now I started to check the links he sold me in the past year and it turnes out quite a few are gone within weeks/ months of posting. I even found an "exclusive" article (paid by me) where a competitors link was added in the article...

Furthermore a search on Fiverr turned out most of the links he sells as premium ($100-$200 per link) are up for grabs for next to nothing there too. (No I do not do business with Fiverr for "quality" BL, it was just the result of a search which lead me there)

So if you have done business with a member here it might be worth to check out if the links you purchased are still up.

Definitely. No point of many others getting screwed as well plus will push off others from trying.

I have to agree, that if terms were not followed that they should be exposed.

If an agreement can be reached, of course that can be stated, but certainly it should not be necessary to publicize it in order for a deal to be reached, but the main thing is that others should be made aware so that they can be avoided, or at the very least that additional caution can be raised.

In addition, others that may have made a purchase or agreement can check their previous dealings.

A lot of brokers try and get away with similar tricks, not telling the client how long the link will be live for, not telling them that it will be marked as sponsored, adding other referral URLs in the article which can affect link juice etc and the most common one we see is clients telling us that some of the links they have bought in the past from other agencies haven't even indexed. These are all questions that should be asked by agencies to site owners in the first place and then should be passed onto clients so they are aware.

I've also been picking up links from people here on the forum - i'd want to steer clear of this seller, and those alike.

Well he choose to ignore so you have your answer I would post the name, as it might be affecting a few people and he doesnt seem to eant to correct the problem so it means he is the problem.

A premium link never cost only 100-200$... I just wanted to mention it

I had also problems with backlink sellers. There is a thread where some affiliates including me are posting the names and their stories with these bullsh***ers. I will post names I have negative experience with here as well. Let´s get rid of such people.
