    Default Banners schmanners!

    Hi Guys

I'd be keen to hear what sort of promotional materials you'd like to see from us in the new year! Banners are said to be "dead eye candy" , text links are boring ....

How are you guys utelising online to promote operators most effectively in the casino space?

Is this video , is it fancy flash games, do you still want unique content - what about timed promotions (for social media campaigns)...???

Let me know what you need as we'd like to plan effectively for next year to meet your requirements.

    Thanks
    Lee-Ann

Hmm, I wonder who is saying this?

I would argue that both Banners and text links serve as key promotional tools, even if they aren't as effective as they were 5-10 years ago. Maybe looking at more tageted promotions, with banners that reflect the page they are on would work better for some affiliates. As for text links, a lot has to do with what is actually written in the text. The generic "$50 at somethingorothercasino - click here" aren't that effective, but more tailored messages are.

    Default feedback is nb

Ok - so banners still work - do you think the standard sizes are still required, is flash better than gif, should they be more game specific than just offer lead?

Text links are becoming cleverer - I saw this www.ciaomedia.com the other day which I thought was very interesting take on using text based ads within various publisher sites to generate sales.

It helps to hear feedback - as sometimes we get bogged down with what we are doing internally and don't get a chance to come up for "air" to see the broader spectrum of digital media and how it's being used and also how it's enhancing / changing....

I would like to see better converting banners.

Landing pages are always helpful at converting
