Exclamation BCP Term Update - Recently Analyzed

Best Casino Partner have updated their terms and conditions once again (several days ago now). This was in an effort to make their term less predatory.

Because there were multiple changes throughout, we took our time with the announcement. We had also hoped that some affiliate pressure would help them to re-consider.

There is more than just the reduction in affiliate earnings on this terms change, which was the one being discussed. There are additional changes to both the CPA program as well as another reduction in sub-affiliate earnings.

    BCP Predatory Term Update

I was thisclose to starting to use this program when all of this happened. It is terms and actions like these that sends affiliates running for the hills! Not only because a contract was broken and without warning at that, but also because many of us cannot afford to have our earnings yanked out from under us! No thanks.

Thank you Affiliate Guard Dog! At least we can all make informed decisions with this information.

I will never recommend them to other affiliates.
But the main problem is that I can't stop working with them, there are my old players, and I have to promote them (I hate such situation!)

Interesting fact: I had a new player in August, but I didn't know that because I didn't see him in the New Customers statistics, and I received an email that my account had been placed on hold. But when I checked my traffic statistics I found that I had a new real account in August.
My affiliate manager can't explain me this situation.

I'm with you Aksana - I hate this new term, but cannot abandon my player base here as it is a significant portion of my revenue. So I'm trying to get their player requirements - but my quality traffic doesn't like their stuff and my lower quality stuff has generated a bunch of downloads and a few registrations, but no "real" players.

Argh... I hate when things are done retroactively. What ever happened to the promises of "commissions for the lifetime of the player" - all of a sudden there are strings attached. And yes - it is hard to generate a depositing player every 90 days with the difficulty in the financial markets and legal environment!

Interesting, though, how THEM not converting players that you are sending results in lower commissions for YOU.

THEY can't do their job correctly.... YOU lose.

Bad business decision to enact this term, IMO. They need to reverse that decision before all their affiliates 'die out'. I'm sure this hasn't hit their bank account yet - probably has helped them to steal commissions. Eventually, though, they will be starving - just like the affiliates they are stealing from.

Still no word on how they are retroactively reducing their 'Sub-Affiliate Earnings' Nice that they 'slipped this in' as they were attempting to remove their previous retroactive term.

Hopefully CAP will get them to respond, but it seems they just want it to go away more than anything. CasinoBlasters has long been an excellent organization and it is really disappointing to see them try to 'nickle and dime' affiliates like this

    Bummer.

I noticed BCP added some changes to their T&Cs:
Any Partner Account established post-Nov. 1, 2008 that remains inactive for a period of 90 days will be adjusted to a revenue percentage of 15 percent.
So, old affiliates do not need to bring new players every 90 days.

I had planned to start promoting these guys this month, looks like I should wait whilst they get their act together.

    Thanks for keeping us informed.

Aksana - you are correct. However, they 'slipped in' a reduction in Sub-Affiliate (Tiered) earnings when they implemented that change.

So - while they made sure their original predatory term is NOT retroactive...

They slipped in another that appears to be retroactive.

Hard to tell, though, since there is no response to the issue. I'll try to get a hold of them tomorrow and see what I can find out.

BCP finally agreed to honor the 10% on 2nd tier referrals for existing affiliates.

Frederic wrote me that this applies to the past month (October) revenue too.

Yes, I saw that over at CAP yesterday.

This is a testament to what AFFILIATES can do if we make programs accountable for their actions. GPWA Members, AGD Members, and CAP members made this happen - without us BCP would have kept the term 'as is'.

Good work everyone!!!! And, thankfully, BCP has seen the light

Andy, there were other people representing other groups also working on this in the background....but reguardless of that, I am glad that the outcome is something affiliates can live with.

I'm glad that BCP has finally removed all of their retroactive T&Cs. Seems like they had to be dragged kicking and screaming, though....

Anyway, at least it's done. If I decide to work with BCP again someday, I'll just have to hope that they don't try to pull a stunt like this 2 or 3 years down the road.

Sorry if I left anyone out... The real heroes in this are affiliates. Without affiliates pulling together to let BCP / CB know that the terms were horrible, nothing would have changed.

Thanks EVERYONE for your help even if I am unaware that you were helping
