    play online casino and
free casino games this is not equal keywords. First keyword more better.

About your list. This is not all good keywords. For example: "Play online slots" or "Roulette Systems" or "Welcome casino bonus" or "No Deposit Casino" (not so good) this is gambling keywords too. You may use google tools for see all English gambling keywords.
Sorry for my bad English language.

Yes 100%. When i buy traffic at PPC i except word "free" or pay lowest price for keywords with word "free" or "no deposit".

Which keywords still have value - ie - are reachable in a reasonable amount of time for the top10 and convert very well?

'top online casinos' is very good. It has a very high KEI (ratio of #of searches and competition), over 300,000.

How did you determine the KEI for top online casinos?

    Default Keywords

One of the most important aspect of keywords that are sometimes overlooked is the percentage of competition that each one carries. If 'casino' is a high ranking keyword on Google and every single website uses it, it is of little value for a newcomer.

Finding keywords that fit your niche AND have low competition/high visibility are key to having potential customers find you before your site gets ranked.

I would much rather have a keyword that attracts 10,000 people a month AND they see my site than have a high value keyword and get ranked 556,998th and no one sees me.

I use the tool Rank Tracker. But you can also use other tools like WordTracker. However, the results may vary significantly depending on whether you are using WordTracker or Google Adwords as the keyword searching tool. In Rank Tracker I can set my options. In case of the keyword 'top online casinos' I got the following results:

    Google Adwords: KEI 522,373 (competition 3140000, #of searches 40500)
    Wordtracker: KEI 1170 (competition 3150000, #of searches 64)

If you compare the two results you will see that both tools have more or less the same value for competition, wheras Adwords finds a significantly larger #of searches.

I was brainstorming some keywords recently for my gamerisms site and I found using the keyword 'play' to have some value.
For example, play card games, play blackjack, etc.
I also set up a quiz series at both my sites and blackjack quiz, poker quiz are of value. I set up a quiz central page
at GT and very quickly got a PR3 ranking.
The hosting service I use has a free brainstorming function where you plug in keywords and it gives you supply, demand and keyword value.

What Nandakishore said above basically. If you use a tool to check the KEIs of keywords and keyword phrases the thing to do is make sure you use the same tool for comparisons - as long as you are covering most of your niche it is the relative value of the keyword phrases (to each other) that is important (i.e. you want ones with a high KEI).

I use the one built into WebCEO - not sure if it is any good but I like the toolset and am using it for what it is worth. You can tell it which search engines you want it to take into account, so you can get a handle on Bing and Yahoo as well as Google.

Keywords with action or commands in them such as "play" or "deposit" are huge and always will be in terms of conversions. The volume is what it is though.

For a new authority site, with "gambling" in the url, would a keyword like "online gambling reviews" be a solid choice? It just seems that for that keyword - the traffic is decent, the conversion is pretty decent, but the competiton is big time.

This is a good question. The way we list our best may be different from how others list theirs. Perhaps the OP should have included how he comes up with the list.

Anyways, the list of keywords is good. If you want to check thorough on them such as their real search volume per day along with CPC stats and the competition, use spyfu.com's free service. If you want more than that, there is always an upgraded version.
