this below is after I asked several times before the deadline with their "aff manager/s" that the account has to stay active:

They also have fun of you saying if you need further clarification when they only reply citing that predatory clause.
what a bunch of thieves and d******s in betsson group - they would reserve a class action against them

They couldn't care any less. They're too deeply entrenched in their corruption and bad business dealings.

Holding affiliates under duress, to agree to T&C's or lose their players, earnings etc., etc., it wouldn't hold water in a court-room. The majority of programs force affiliates over a barrel, because, they figure no one is going to take court action.

The thing is, issues such as these SHOULD be legally challenged.

However after 23 years in this gig, class actions have been raised on the GPWA, AGD and other affiliate forums BUT nothing ever happens. Instead, folks post posts, people b#tch and moan how unfair it all is (which it really is) but that's as far as it goes. No one does jack!

Which sends a clear message to programs that they can bend affiliates over.

Until folks decide enough is enough and actual do something about all this rot, it will continue to repeat itself.
I totally agree with you. I have been in this situation quite a few times sadly and I think the reason I haven't been able to do much is not knowing what can be done.

I know I dont have the money to take on these big companies, I dont think I live near any of them to go kick there arses and other than moaning on the forums and leaving some negative reviews on the web I dont think I have any other options available to me.

Only on this forum I have talked to maybe 10 newbies about this and no one trusts me. It can be clearly seen between rows.

So yes, they are really bad observers, because they are not able to observe the reality. They have no idea how forums worked in the past, where people still tried to help each other. They do not observe me as a rich, good, dinosaur, who is trying to help them. They see me (and whole this forum where is 100x written that Entain, Betfair etc are just pure thieves) as someone who is pushing his own agenda and trying to deliberately destroy their dreams.

When I am a newbie in something, I am still usually able to get info about anything from PPR tubes to solar panels. It is harder, but it is still possible.

To get a info who is bad to work with in affiliate gambling is actually very easy. Just the few affiliate forums like GPWA give so accurate info. If you look at posters with hundreds+ posts and with some account history, then you get 99.99% accuracy.

People who can not see this, are the ones I call bad observers.

People who are looking at promotional materials (just as our customers) or who are going to conferences are doing this just to cement being the bad observers.

The good observer is a person who has at least a bit of critical thinking, nothing more nothing less.

    -------------------------------------------------------

I do not think that the affiliate programs are making big money by stealing from affiliates. They do it once or they do it like betsson in more installments. The affiliate program can exchange once their trust for one time money but that is it.

If 10000 people are screwed by Bwin lately, it is not as big money as they screw the few big players in the past. Affiliate marketing is for long time not significant for big companies. This is why they "cash out" us.

Betsson was for long time a dead program. Apart of stealing from their subbrands, their stats were clearly shaved since the beginning. This was clear even in 2013. I was sending them few players a year for over a decade, because the value of the betsson affiliate player was several times lower than elsewhere.

I would like to know now in post mortem, if anyone ever had a real whale at Betsson. A player that lost 6+ figures. Because I think they detagged those since the beginning.

Betsson cashed out affiliates in many steps and it was clear what they are doing.

Whose arse you want to kick?

Some bored millennial who is just sitting there getting orders from high management, who says to them: "Look we have to cut costs. Say to XY% of affiliates to fo. We have right to do this, because they agreed to change TOS as we like and we have it conformed by our legal department".

That young guy is happy that he pays for his rent. He is not there to question people who pay him. And the people who pay him do it to not deal with us. The higher management also does it to not have a clear responsibility. Nobody has a real responsibility, everyone can say like Eichmann that they just follow the orders of higher ups or shareholders. The high management is pushing the middle management into some cost effective steps in short or mid term. Cutting off affiliates works perfectly. So they do it. Their lawyers do not protest, because they can fence us off easily with low costs.

This is how the economical system works. Beating some guy makes no sense. Either accept the system or try to change the system.

If anyone shouts "I am too small fry to change the system", then congratulations. You are exactly in the position of the employee of the corporation who sees what is going on but even if he wants, he feels how he can not do anything. Those employees have even one more argument: they need the money unlike old affiliates who had 2 decades to hoard significant money if they were not totally dumb and worked with better programs than Betsson.

Updated their reviews and redirected the links to more trusted brands. Unfortunately I work with a small licensed market where Betsson was one of the few available operators.

Betsson continue with their unethical business practices and shaving accounts while hiding behind dubious T&C!

    Dear Partner,
We need to inform you that as per our Betsson Group Affiliates – Terms and Conditions Program, your MyAffiliates account will have to be terminated pursuant to Clause 5.3(iv) effective as of today 5th December 2023.

Any balances within your affiliate wallet, may be cashed out until 5th January 2024. As of 6th January 2024, please note that you will not be able to cash out any remaining balances.

We value all our partners and look forward to working productively with you in the future. We therefore encourage you to reach out to us if you are ready to become active with us once more and would like to promote our brands. If so, please register a new account and reach out to your relevant account manager to discuss a new deal.

    Yours sincerely,
    Betsson Group Affiliates

They did the same to me - two affiliate accounts were closed. Their conversion rate was shi% recently, so it's not the end of the world, however, beware and don't work with these scumbags.

I like how they say that it is not a betsson affiliate account but myaffiliates account. Like if the blame should be directed at MyAffiliates.

Their level of contempt for their partners is so low that I am no longer surprised by anything.

In the end, what Rick wrote here is the basis for determining whether an affiliate program is trusted and worth investing in for the long term... or not!

Did anyone get their account restored after explaining that you will start sending more clicks again? Or are they really this ruthless?

Just to add that I too had 2 accounts closed by these thieves last month as well.

To add further insult to injury, they sent me a email a couple of days back:

    Dear KasinoKing,

We hope this email finds you well.
Since you have not been UK compliant for over a year, we need you to act immediately on: http://www.kasinoking.co.uk/UKcasinos.htm
The issues found on the mentioned URL are the following:

To Remove mention or CTA of Bonus - Use of £ - There is no UK welcome offer.
Could you please make sure all the necessary changes are addressed accordingly and let us know once done?
You have 7 days from this email to comply otherwise account will be CLOSED
    .

We do count on your co-operation with this matter.

    Best Regards,
    To which I replied:
    Ha ha - very funny!

My account is already closed – and you have stolen my last year’s earnings from me.
You have even stolen my Sub-Affiliate earnings, even though that has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with compliance or player quotas

I’m inclined to say F-off… but I don’t want to sink to your level – so I will remove those details.
    Regards,
    Mark.

Yes.. The only thing they will offer you is the possibility to open a new account without any guarantees that they won't close it for you if they don't like something. Of course, they will seize all your existing referrals and commissions. This is a circus!
