Default Are Bitcoins the Future of Online Gambling?

Are Bitcoins the Future of Online Gambling?

    Summary

The increasing popularity of Bitcoins means that they are being increasingly seen as a legitimate currency. Online casinos are starting to accept them more and more as they offer many benefits in terms of convenience and security. They are also popular with players due to the speed of transactions and the anonymity that they provide. Therefore they are expected to become even more widely adopted in the future.

    Yes, 102% sure.
I've heard that some brands have up to 40% in BTC deposits. This is catching on faster than I originally thought. The only problem I have is the fact that there are too many hard forks.

So far from what I've seen I wouldn't be concerned about the forks at all personally. All they seem to have done is given a lot of free money to those who were holding BTC already.

Yes, absolutely. It sure seems to be going in that direction as far as I'm concerned.

It also seems to me like Bitcoin is picking up quite quickly these days too.

Forks are no way free money. Free money do not exist.

Forks might fork the value of the coin as well. No one can say where the value of bitcoin could have been without forks. Maybe much higher.

I have a feeling that the price goes up before each fork that the people bet on resolution and that things will finally move on. Not on the free coins.

I see a crash like 1987 in the Bitcoin markets. Smart money may have already left.

Bitcoin as the future of online gaming is a completely different world than investing in Bitcoin.. One is the best and easiest way to make transactions and the other betting on the growth/loss in currency trading. I hope that bitcoin turns into the modern version of no fee Neteller but with nobody for the governments to sue.

I know they wouldn't do it unless they suddenly stop liking money, but I'd love to see a coalition from all the big gaming sites still taking credit cards to just cut it all off and only accept Bitcoin. Force the adoption on players as well as eliminate any sort of financial legal issues.

The "crimes" that any operators have been charged with have only been financial ones i.e. violating the UIGEA by sending and receiving payments from banks. Not simply offering the games. If you only accept Bitcoin you're never doing business with banks.

It's easily the best banking method we've ever seen for gaming.

I think you are talking about US bookies.

It will be done within 1-2 years. Not by consensus, but by even tougher regulations.

Bitcoin is not so huge because it is an artwork of genius (it is). It is so huge because the states and regulators went crazy and they cure craziness with something even more crazy. The logical step after bitcoin surge of popularity would be having less rules not more to compete with fiat to btc. But people by power think they have absolute power. They have not, so they will lose all the power in the end. The chaos after will fell on normal people as always.

Though I rarely see from anything besides the affiliate side these days, when I was online poker reg 7 years ago it seemed 50% of my time went to figuring out how to move money in and out of the gaming accounts. Bitcoin obviously alleviates this issue and nature of technology is always that more efficient systems prevail.

It's absolutely mind boggling just how fast and popular this cryptocurrency has grown and is still growing throughout the global economy.

We have to wait in order to be more safe about bitcoin. The incredible raise of its price isn't so normal. Maybe there will be a "correction" to the volume.

Here's the dilemma. As an investor, if you wait for it to be safe, you will miss out on the gains. Since I believe in crypto in general, I would "kill" me to miss out on this disruptive phenomenon.
